I, myself, was in a stage play of Hairspray but that wasn't actually on Broadway! It was put on by my local theatre. And the penny in my preformance did suck a lollipop but then again this wasn't on Broadway.

The school bus [looks like one] at 0:55 and a few other places is a veyr slightly modified GM Old Looks from at least the 1950s. I'd love to have one of those and name it after Sandra Bullock myself. [A 4 speed, as most were.] By 1962 when Hairespray took place, GM's new New Loks, patterned on their latest highway bus designs, had set in.

I have a pic of her brandishing one of bher many red lollipops on my desktop with her bane brandished acorss. She is my favorite supporting Hairspray character, and I use her image mentioned in message baords where an "avatar" under my name (visitors to most of these will know what I mean!).And the quote, ("Without Love" is the song), "Now I've tasted choclote, and I';m never going back" (sung to Elijah Kelley as Seaweed J.Stubbs), as my usual signature.

Amanda Bynes did perfect as Penny in the movie. The Broadway version I watched didn't do her character justice.

Ahahh, nice vid ! I absolutely definitely positively LOVE Amanda Bynes, I think she did an amazing job in Hairspray and is a great singer, but wasn't as good as Kerry Butler. SORRY ! You were still amazing though, Amanda. I'm soo happy that you've been in showbusiness in over 10 years and there's no abd news about you. Vanessa Hudgens is on the Internet naked, Miley Cyrus in her underwear, Britney and Lindsey drunk, but Amanda, 10 years, and perfect record. Keep up the good work, Amanda !!
