personally, the dragonlance movie sucked ass, but the books cant be beat. they are deeply in tense, had amazing story line, plus each books actions ties into one down the story. there are over 45 books dedicated to krynn's history/sotries and they never stop comming. i personally have read about 18 of them, still going. right now i finishing up the trilodgy of the *war of souls* . favourite so far is probably hourglass mage/or the time of the twins

I love dragonlance but you have to admit the books aren't a difficult read.

@20MrBigmac Yeah you 'outgrow' them. Just like David Eddings. Its tragic. But not as tragic as Robert Jordan's death. Now that was a tragedy. Wheel of Time is the best fantasy epic since LOTR. Can't imagine them ever being made into films. I hope nobody ever tries.

@sidious76 I know. At first I was crushed that Jordan died, then I was enraged because he was just two books shy of completing the series. And in some respects wheel of time is better than lord of the rings, mainly the action but LOTR easily emmersies you into it's world

Eh, wow. O.o When I first saw the animation I assumed this was made in the nineties. That animation in 2008 is just shameful. I've seen better animation in PS1 cutscenes.

i'm a huge dlance fan too read pretty much all the books so no disrespect to dlance itself just a shame to see a potentialy epic movie turn to crap its like they got the wackest animation artists from the eighty's a watered down script and just shit out a bullshit movie to make some cash. hopefully this is just the begininning so to speak and it paves way for an even better more dramatic and realistic movie franchise or even animation series, as long as its taken seriously

I agree, the animation sucked, and the potentialy epic movie got turned to crap, but hey, even though some of though Lauranna sucked, Sturm had no horns on his helmet, Tas was Rosh from that Jedi Academy game, and alot of the voice acting was wooden, and all that other stuff,it was kinda fun.

But I'm going to have to ask you not to cuss on my channel or in my video comments. Thanks!

@DerKaiser92 Agree with hoffa here. There was SO MUCH potential to make the Dragon Lance Chronicles into a beautiful and high adrenaline and character driven story. instead it was a quickly done and poorly created story that barely hung onto the original book. This was a made for TV cartoon movie....not the mega blockbuster that of which the Lord of the Rings paved the way for. Shame on the directors and producers for ruining an amazing fantasy story like this. Just shitty.

I like all fantasy movies, good or bad, so I like this one as well. I even liked the first Dungeons and Dragons movie, which was panned by all the really conservative fans
