The Avett Brothers do pull out an electric guitar for the occasional song. Pretty Girl from Chile is another one they used it on when I saw them during this tour.
Are you sure he's 18...? I took this video in May. I saw that show as well when they played Pretty girl from Chile, when they played the recording and everything... so freakin' awesome!!!
