Sure, I bet you are a Steve McCurry yourself!!, a comment like that only shows that you are not a good photographer, a good photographer knows the camera is only a tool, and Sony's are great tools!
@ parabellumantonio sony does know how to make a darn good DSLR if you ask me - the Sony a900 - explain that then. and also explain why it is like a big cybershot? thankyou.
@parabellumantonio If you think that the a200/a230/a290 are big cybershots because they have loads of gadgets, then you need to look up some stats... 2.7 inch screen, quite low resolution. 3 fps. No live view. No video. No 'sweep panorama.' No tilt screen. No in camera editing. A200/A230 are both 10mp. A200 has no 'guide mode'. And you call them gadgety. lol. Oh and nearly all canon and nikon beginner-enthusiast cameras have the exact same gadgets as their sony counterparts, if not more.
Loool Iso 12800 but F16 what is the point of that ?
I will go for a A700 and not the 550 the 550 is faster in speed priority and the Resolution is higher , but the A700 has less noise in RAW files , shows more details has a rughed magnesium housing and way better focus precision and speed.
no... as long as exposure time is less than 1/7 of a second you can shoot 7fps. Also you have to be using the viewfinder, I believe it decreases to 5fps using the live view.
yes you are right. I bought the camera about 1 month ago. Very happy with it. Only tried the high speed continuous advance a couple times for fun. Will have to find appropriate action subject to really test it. I dont think I will do that kind of shot with live view...
for me all the photos turn BLACK u need like the lowest shutter and as u guys saw he had 12800 iso and still it wasnt very bright... :p

I have a Canon DSLR, a real DSLR.
Sony Cameras are for gadget lovers, not for photographers.

your using a iso of 12800, does it have to be that high to use 7fps? becouse your shutter is only 1/400

@RedroomStudios I think it has to be faster than 1/7 of a sec. because of the resetting of the curtains and the mirror.

can you shoot this fast with autofocus on?
or is it limited??
wikinick257 2 years ago
- Yeah, it's AF-C
- Have limit, i've yet tried to shoot
dt0306 2 years ago
@wikinick257 ive tried shooting in auto but its slower since the camera has to focus every time, shoot manual and you will get full results
Birdman507 2 years ago
@wikinick257 The auto focus is only locked on the first shot.
