heh i'm russian too :) i've got 2 tickets so far ..

first 1 was in sacramento , california for doing 80 in 40mph zone and second was on freeway

110 in 65mph zone :/ captured by helicopter radar ...

total over 1000$ worth of tickets ahahah

depends on state, in virginia they are illegal, the ticket was issued in illinois, it was 65 mph zone and we were going 99 or something like that

keep an eye on your rearview next time. The radar detecter does nothing. They keep their incar radar on hold, until they are near you and then basically un-pause live radar mode. A scanner does absalutly nothing. Cops almost never have hold off in live mode. They know you will detect them :)

well, actually we had a radar detector with a defect and PLUS instead of radar they used LASER which is extremely hard to detect:)

we brought radar detector 5 minutes before leaving. The radar detector appeared to be broken, we didn't know that, so thats why we got tickets (by trusting to defective radar detector), we returned it after coming back to florida.

are you sure it was broken?

1. MOst cops don't drive around with their Radars on so your detector isn't gonna get every cop that comes your way.

2. Most Cops breifly turn their radars on and then off, so you need a Radar detector thats scans "POP Radar".

no, it was broken, I had before older cobra model and it worked better, and even if cops turn their radar on, you have couple seconds to slow down because the radar doesn't work immediately

That's not "POP" radar, That is Instant on radar. And the only company that makes POP radar is MPH Industries which I very seldom see here in minnesota. It is usually Stalker and Kustom radar, and the ProLaser 3.

3. IT looks like you're using a Cobra Radar dector, I have one, they work but offer very weak Radar detection range.

4. Radar detectors assist you by lowering the chances of you getting a ticket, they are full proof protection against tickets so don'tthink if you have one you can now speed all over the place. like I said, most cops don't have their radars on unless they got good reason, so you won't track most cops.
