@WhoIsCosy you have to install the firewire expansion card. It will transmit midi and audio straight into your laptop. If you want to take it one step further install the M3 editor software that comes with it or download it and you can use the M3 as a VST... It's crazy versatile man... So u can transmit midi with the firewire or install the plugin and us it as a plug in instrument. Just create a software instrument track and make sure open library is checked and you'll see M3 .

yeah midi is the only way you can effectively communicate across all the instruments. i can control any of my instruments from any one of the others. It's all looped in. i can trigger my logic or my protools from my MPC.
