Looks like the same thing different name. I know the pendulum to be different than the flower because the man in black would grab the uki's RIGHT leg, rather than his left, but that is not how he demonstrates the move. Either way it's the same energy.

when I do the flower sweep I grab the pants rather than going under the leg and my hips scoot slightly out to the left first

Very nice as always. We drilled that sweep when your opponent is defending the arm bar. Very effective and it allows you to finish the submission. Instead of bringing your bottom leg in, you move it slightly out then right over their head to take the armbar.
