In Exodus 21:10, a man can marry an infinite amount of women without any limits to how many he can marry.

In 2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3, King David had six wives and numerous concubines.

In 1 Kings 11:3, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.

In 2 Chronicles 11:21, King Solomon's son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines.

The majority of christians marry 1 and 1, the majority of muslims do not. Thus they do follow such things as polygamy based on the actions of the majority of muslims do, while based on the actions of the majority of christians, they do not follow it.

Surah 4.34, to beat your wife when she does not obey is followed by the majority of moderate muslims, who dont blow themself up, they just beat their wife.

@kissemurra12 That's not a fair assumption to make at all - I guarantee you the majority dont follow polymagy - the rules of polygamy were implemented predominantly because when the Muslim men fought in wars against opression - women became widows. Islam provides a solution for everything - the grounds pertaining to it are also just. E.g. if you do marry more than one woman then you must be just in every way from caring for each one the same and to support each one financially.

@kissemurra12 Out of every religion we've given women the most rights, to be allowed education, to own their own property, to get a divorce on their own terms, to be allowed to vote, to have her own income etc.. etc.. Some of this just came in to practice in the west FFS! And this was available in 1400 years ago - compare this during times of the 14century and with other religions such as Christianity and Judaism we are far more superior in womens rights.
