He growls quite nicely imo, probably one of my favorite vocalists in metal, if not my favorite altogether. You can also listen to him in Solution 45, and Miseration, though if I recall, he didn't do many clean vocals, if any when with Miseration, though I could be wrong, haven't listened to the songs in well over a year now, I tend to forget songs when I haven't heard in awhile, as I listen to something like 1000+ bands.

these guys just confirmed my love of death metal, 3 bands right now. Any suggestions? I may also want some new metalcore bands, about 15. These lyrics are powerful shit, very strong words and easily relatable to anything. In Flames is the best example of this.
Also check out Soilwork, Raintime and Disarmonia Mundi. If you like In Flames you will definitely like them. As far as metalcore goes, Unearth is definitely one of the best.
sorry, been too busy with new cds to check out new bands. But soilwork is more hard rock to me, it's much like newer eighteen visions with more technical guitarwork. When listening to Scar Symmetry, I figure bands like Solution .45 (Christian's other band), Miseration (Christian's other, other band), and Mercenary come to my mind.
Seriously, Mercenary is so under-rated it's ridiculous.

99% of scientists are atheists.... yes probably 99% of who still study within their academia setting. Those out in the real world, are probably a bit more open about their spirituality.

The ancient native American civilizations, from the Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, and the various tribes of North America, the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, all prayed to various Gods for everthing they observed in nature....The biggest one being the Sun God...Jupiter, Zues, Rah, etc. explained how the sun came up every morning.
If Atheism was truely the "default" belief system, then why has it always been a minority position? Besides, 5 people can't be wrong? Can they?

Yes they can, everyone can be wrong, even atheists, but at least we believe in something that is more plausible and can actually be proven. People back then had to make up ideas about how the sun came up because they had no clue how it did.
Religion is today as it was back then, a nice big book of fairy tales that makes tons of money.

No, you're wrong. Even the most ardent scientists will say that there are gaps in their theories and so-called proofs or facts, and that's where faith comes in to fill those gaps.

People of faith don't make fun of science, in fact we embrace it. Science actually confirms our faith. It doesn't contradict it.

No, when you are born you are not born with ideas about worship and a supreme entity. These ideas are introduced to you externally, they are not innate.
Faith only fills gaps while science is unable to provide an adequate explanation. The question you should ask yourself is - why bother? In the course of time, there will be sufficient hypotheses, facts, and theories to every question posed.

Where Stalin enacted a "cleansing" if you will of all dissidents and enemies of the Soviet Communist Party. And the biggest portion of those dissidents were Orthodox Christians and Jews. Why? Because for Communism to survive everyone has to tow the line. If there's dissent, Communism fails. And Stalin was a huge atheist.

He didn't kill _because_ of atheism, it is entirely incidental. Stalin also probably believed in 3 square meals a day. Are all people with similar views mass murderers? What horribly flawed logic. And regarding 2012, one theory is of course a pole shift. But one scientist discovered through geological evidence that when pole shifts have occured in the past that it takes over a million years. So even if a pole shift started in 2012, we wouldn't feel the effects of it.

No...God, himself didn't make your computer, but someone with some intelligence designed and created the new technology that went into it and bullt it. And so like I said, it didn't "evolve".
This is the basic idea behind "intelligent design". For everything in the universe, from the elements on up to all the compounds they form, there is some intelligence behind that. And because Science can't fully explain this idea, Intelligent Design is there to fill in these gaps.

You probably aren't aware of this, but "theory" is the highest status that can be achieved in the scientific community. Theories connect and explain the myriad of observations and facts.
Evolution is the best explanation as to the origin of our species (abiogenesis is a different matter) ever posited and developed. Unless you can provide an alternative explanation that doesn't rely on unfathomably complex magic then i suggest you pipe down.

Yes,I've read your responses, but no matter how much evidence and "fact" there is, there is always a small portion of the question that can't be answered with evidence. That is where the Faith and the Theory of Creation comes in.

But like I said, science does not disprove faith, science confirms faith. Science can explain to about 98% why things are they way they are, Faith fills in the remaining 2%.
