@danielvutran true but popular is not necessarily better, 2 and a half men was until recently the top rated show in America, peronally i would rather masturbate with a barb wire glove than watch 1 minute of that show, maybe its a reflection of 'Inside the actors studio' that it initially started out as a show that was supposed to concentrate on craft and now just concentrates on the guests more commercially successfull work, i suppose its only natural the more ratings the show gets

@SFmaster23 I did, and I saw the Shakespeare sketch. It's very funny - I just think more should have been said about Mr. Fry, because that was the main partnership that launched Hugh's career. The program is brilliant, and I'm sure in the footage that wasn't broadcast Stephen does come up. I just wish they could find the time to broadcast everything. I wouldn't mind hearing about Hugh Laurie's life and career for 3 hours.

They actually covered both Jeeves and Wooster and A bit of Fry and Laurie. The programme is abridged - the real interview is a few hours long, I reckon. So they have to decide what will be aired and what will be cut out. As this is, primarily, for an American audience - they presumably thought that part of his career less relevant...

Such a shame... I wished to see more comments on the Fry and Laurie comedy-ship.

In one of the earlier parts there was a clip of a sketch from a Cambridge Footlights show, as well as a photo of the Footlights crew (they got distracted talking about Emma Thompson, whom Americans would know better that Fry), and also photo of the two of them as Jeeves and Wooster.

@Tropicaliak ABOFAL is certainly one of my favorite incarnations of both Fry and Laurie. But let's face it; without "House", Laurie wouldn't be nearly as famous. He probably wouldn't even be sitting next to James Lipton. As wide a range of roles and characters as he has played, House is not only his most successful, but in my opinion, it's also his greatest. Of course more time was spent on it, and of course more of it aired than his other roles. The others were foundation; House is the capstone

@Tropicaliak Most of the inside the actor's studio interviews last for about 3 hours. Then the material is cut down to roughly 40mins or 1 hour programs depending on including commercials or not. They did actually talk about those shows but for some reason they weren't included in the aired version

@Tropicaliak The reason is is because this is an American show filmed in America for an American audience. I would venture to say that most people in the studio and a majority of the people watching this on t.v. in the States are not familiar with those shows and are only really familiar with Laurie through House.

Hopefully the clips they showed and comments they made of his earlier work will encourage people to seek out his other work.
