The first part of Chamber 15 doesn't look like this for me. I can't gain momentum with the initial portal because it's too far and I can't put it closer because I have that metal floor that you can created portals on, until you get close to the glass.

never thought of that! When I got to the energy ball, I knocked the camera off, then I put a portal in front of the ball and on the ceiling above the sign outside the receiver's energy feild. Then I put the camera under the ball when it went through the portal, it then bounced up and down until it go to the receiver.

It's hard to think about this logically, because it goes against the laws of physics, ie. energy is created as the player increases speed.

no you just have to think as it is preserving momentum out of the portal in the three dimensional space.

But if the exit portal is above the entrance portal, potential energy is gained, so speed is gained from nowhere. Also, since momentum is a vector quantity, a change in direction is technically a change in momentum. It doesn't seem right in my head, so it took me a while to figure out. Good fun, nonetheless.
