Smog check technicians never check for tight hose connections from end to end.. They usually do visual inspections , that is it... PCV is a "vaccuum cleaner" for the blowby gases coming out of the bottom of pistons with nowhere to go . Actually PCV is a "slow" vaccuum cleaner which means that tight connections of hoses all around is very vital to keep air clean on the streets.. Blow by gases is not pleasnt to breath.
I've watched the pcv serie s vids and i would like to know if to condensate the blowby in an air water separator would allow to avoid gunk int the intake.
Or letting it to to the atmosphere after condensate it would be better ?
does blow by help to lube and avoid wear of the valve ad seats ?
Hello Moss team... its really great that you are educating us about how to take proper care of our LBCs. I'm still far away from starting the 1800 engine on my 78MGB. DPO made a lot "quick" fixes to the car, not sure about the PCV system; but now that I know how it works and how important it is, I will make sure it is there and if its not... I'll call Moss and see of you guys know where to find a replacement part. (LOL.. I'm a happy customer of Moss USA)
