I do think a focus on any specific culture is bad teaching. Like I had a writing 121 teacher in college that ONLY taught black literature. @nahuatlSOUL It was an English class. It wasn't a history class. I was a teacher, and I am not black. I couldn't teach whatever I want, I made sure I didn't push an agenda, but I tried to teach my students about the various cultures and how those people viewed themselves. That was a geography class. She was an English teacher. If a white or Mexican teacher tries to use socialists like Helen Keller to teach English, it could be inappropriate. She should not have been fired or harassed.
