  • ... The fuck?

  • An Ed O'brian solo album anyone ?

  • We're the orchestra to your board And we beg for the scraps from your table All we want is to be like you Music to play your ___ Pump pumping sounds through the speakers below Hello I've tried so hard to keep still They will chew you up They will spit out your bones Standing in the shadows at the end of the bed I never said anything I live a wallpaper life of playing guitar in a band It seems so volatile Oh my, oh my He was a good man And he said he was the best They said that even life spat in

  • Listen to it three times and you go N U T S.

  • That would've been a psych rock masterpiece.

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HE IS SAYING!? especially towards the end.

  • Ed is really underrated. He's an amazing singer and guitarist, and most people don't even know that he can play drums also. I hope he releases a solo album.

  • i have a bad case of ed o'brien (in my pants)

  • I WANT IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like it!

  • i'm still waiting for ed's solo album

  • @boderadio If want to hear a song by Ed that was actually released, try the song Treefingers off of Kid A. He originally recorded the song as an ambient guitar solo but it was then heavily processed to sound like a synthesizer.

  • Fucking Ed. :) I love you..

  • Ed O'Brien is to Radiohead as Ringo Starr was to the Beatles

  • @MEYERS3000 That statement couldn't be any more false.

  • @MEYERS3000 no, hes a good composer like johnny. he just doesnt contribute.. so yeah i guess your right.

  • @MEYERS3000 No, he's the George Harrison of the Beatles

  • @MEYERS3000 I didn't know ed played the drums D: (sarcasm)

  • @agk971 "As well as being a self-taught guitarist, he is an accomplished drummer; though his only drum contributions for Radiohead to date have been tom drums on live performances of Hail to the Thief track "There There", a task he shares with Greenwood (though the part they play is put together on a synthesizer on the studio version).,[4] and additional drumming on the b-side Pearly*."

    from wikipedia on ed

  • @bawb100 Well now I look stupid don't I? Haha

  • @MEYERS3000 asshole

  • ohh myyy gosh this song is scary the lyrics are bad

  • @glittergirl3272 ed was probably extremely concerned that people liked the lyrics...

  • Comment removed

  • @etejuanete3 you replied to the wrong post dude :p i didn't say anything regarding ed's role in radiohead

  • @Computerdisplay well.. now that's embarrassing... sorry man.

  • This is proof that Ed O'Brien is Julian Barrett's long lost twin brother...

  • @Mimiru667 This indeed sounds like a Mighty Boosh episode of their radio series haha

  • oyu sure this isnt the mighty boosh

  • thats what i was thinking!

  • :') I love Ed! Would die to hear this live, and do a little dance, aha

  • Interesting at 0:33, he says "I live a wallpaper life of playing guitar in a band"

In the song cuttooth, there's a lyric "I would live a wallpaper life / Or run away to the foreign legion"

Not that it's necessarily connected, just thought that it's not all that common of an expression.

  • @Davepumpkinhead I think that he just grabbed all the phrases that they used for kid A (They put them in a hat and pulled them out at random, that's the way they wrote the lyrics). That's why he says "everything in its right place" "Standing in the shadows at the end of my bed" and "wallpaper life"

  • This should be the opening track on their next album.

  • ~It was a graveyard smash~

  • that really shouldnt be good, but it is.

  • this guy has a bizarre sense of humour! and i love it!

  • OMG! It reminds me early pink floyd's works, like some tracks of Ummagumma, for example A Several Species Of A Small Furry Animals Gathered Togheter In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict".

    Ed you're crazy! I'm astonished!

  • Umm.

  • Is Ed O'Brien singing this? :)

  • awesome organ riffs XD

  • the organ sounds cool imo.

  • Total shyte.

  • haha. weird. he also wrote lull, which is a pretty good b-side from ok computer.

  • he also wrote the riff for Street Spirit (Fade Out), the opening riff for Go To Sleep, the unreleased track Big Boots and also Meeting In The Aisle, another OK Computer era b -side :)

  • @TheSicDominator and not forgetting treefingers!

  • he also wrote the riff for Street Spirit (Fade Out), the opening riff for Go To Sleep, the unreleased track Big Boots and also Meeting In The Aisle, another OK Computer era b -side :)

  • @TheSicDominator

he also wrote a guitar solo that the others reversed and covered with effects which then became Treefingers!

  • @TheSicDominator and the ending for karma police

  • Sounds like Dracula haha

  • Apparently Ed likes "happy plants"? I want to know how true this is!

  • It could be turned into a decent pop song.

Or is that a contradiction in terms?

  • It was played live for the first (and last) time during the first webcast Radiohead did. That was back in 2000 if I remember well.

Some refer to this song as the earliest version of "everything in its right place", you can hear it in the song.

  • everything in it's right place was written and recorded by thom and nigel independent of the rest of the band.

  • What's this song called?

  • Ed's scary song

  • Very Bowie.

  • Couldn't find it anywhere else! Great upload!

  • Was this from a webcast?

  • indeed. from about 2000

  • this is crazy track, but its scary indeed ;)

  • reminds me of monster mash XD

  • shit, i remember this from YEARS ago

  • Ed looks like Hugh Grant.

  • OMG Whoa. Lol.

  • wow!

  • is this really him?

  • ed should sing more often, bwahahah. scary song! we plants are happy plants

  • sounds like something from the mighty boosh radio show. kinda funny. although as i'm writing this i'm kinda getting into it....

  • love it,

    (:
