Put $2,000 into a late model (not even BRAND new) Duramax, Powerstroke, and Cummins. The Cummins will be far behind the other two after all is said & done.

Duramaxes were built by GM with designs from Isuzu. They don't want the Duramax for anyone but themselves. @fiveninefo The 6.0L Powerstroke was a HORRIBLE motor. International/Navistar fucked that up. The 6.4L Powerstroke, after addressing the TSB's, is a rock solid motor. If it wasn't for Cummins, Dodge trucks wouldn't be around. They're still last in sales of trucks for the big 3. Back in the day, the 5.9L Cummins was impressive. However, Cummins is falling farther and farther behind Ford and Chevy.

@bigchuck707 yea there is carbon in it but carbon is inside the engine....sulfer and the nitrous oxides is a byproduct...that is one of the things wrong with the 6.0 international (ford)....people would let them idle for a long time and where the motor wasnt making enough heat to burn off the carbon it stopped up the DPF (diesel particulate filter) a proper running truck will burn most of the carbon off before it comes out the exhaust
