@Legionnaire726 I also have an SLIed M17x, and the beta is barely playable sometimes.. in fact, it sux. But the main reason is that the game still doesn't support SLI, if it will.. will work like charm with me. Also, I remember when it was a closed-beta phase, the game was much more playable with less lag.. now u really can't play ordinarely. So I guess when we get our pre-ordered game alot of things will be fixed.

There are many fixes for the lag: Most r to start w the config.exe make sure Ambient Occlusion is OFF (its buggy n takes the most power) uncheck the other also if ur rly hurtin. Then take shadows to standard, textures to best range for ur card, running in window mode also causes lag atm, when in game you can take physics, shadows etc, off if u need to. Ambient Occlusion seems to be the main culpit for most. (i mean you do have to have a decent pc (gaming wise) to run this game. I hardly lag ever

ugh, what kind of computer u using? ur game runs so smoothly, i got a $1700 m17x alienware, about 5 months old now, and shit runs laggy as FUCK on high graphics and is laggy enough on low where itsTOO noticable, im hopin its just because of the beta and the fact every1 and there mother are in the exact same place, if not, ill be buying a new comp in like 2 months for an upgrade....not lookin forward to that.

When i finally got on the beta i tried fighting a glowfly or sumthin named that, and my screen stopped moving for around 20 seconds due to lag. I was like, WTF 0.0 is this shit, and i got like a 200 on the benchmark test, i forget the name of the graphics card i have but i know it costs around $200...

@julez2k9 FFXIV has kind of an advanced version of the subclass system. Instead of being forced to only use the powers from those two jobs, you'll be able to swap just about any abilities you have between classes.

For example, if I leveled up Conjurer and got Cure, I would be able to equip the Cure ability to any class that I've unlocked, regardless if they're a mage or not.
