This act has kept the senate on strike for a month and it's still going on........they are holding up critical budget bills...........and they are causing the city to lay people off.

Both sides have been so childish and they should be ashamed of themselves; being more hungry for power than they are concerned about getting their work done.

Both the Republicans & Democrats have been absolute idiots in this mess...........

Lol. Fair enough on your conclusion about user "piscesrising2006." But truthfully, I feel he was talking about Dems actions. Though, the republicans ploy for power was an unwarranted action. If they disliked the way things were being handled, then they should have just taken a page from the Dem handbook & waited it out. Dems did it for a long enough time. Simply put, republicans didn't like being out of power, so they allied themselves with those whom they earlier on attacked vivaciously.

No, he's saying the Democrats threw a temper tantrum by storming out, cutting the lights, audio feed etc. The coalition that took power in the coup (made up of all Republican except two Democratic senators) did it legally and skillfully. Its the sign of a functioning democracy and if its legitamacy is undermined by "the courts" than that is an insult to the way our system of government is intended to work.

I beg to differ. The people voted for a democratic majority. If there was going to be a dissident democrat, then he should've labeled himself a republican from the start. There is no legitimacy here. The Repubs allied themselves with a person to whom they threw countless slanderous political attacks against. They wanted power, so they simply went by any means necessary to get it, even if they put their moral creed aside. This isn't gov't, it's a farce!
