On the 27th June 1497 Michael Joseph (The Blacksmith) was hung, drawn and quartered. He was a Cornish revolutionary, fighting against war taxes raised by Henry VII to pay for a war against Scotland.
Under Henry VIII, in 1549 there was again a Cornish rebellion, at Clyst Heath nine hundred Cornishmen were murdered in ten minutes.
Michael Jackson was an icon of our age, one of the most recognisable people in the world. He is an inseperable part of our culture in the US, UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, they all know who MJ is. We will probably never see an icon like him ever again.
