Burish won the Stanley cup with Chicago but plays for Dallas now along with Jake Dowell and then yeah the rest are out there Pavelski Gilbert Skille Robbie Earl spent some time with Minnesota Wild but had trouble staying the NHL. Brian Elliot was with the Senators but got traded not sure where.
Hey, no hard feelings, I am a die hard Badger fan, and living near Madison, it's hard to think about being a Gopher fan. You may own the overall record, but who has more National Championships? Nonetheless, good luck in the post season, I don't think the Badgers can win it all, I hope they do, but as long as someone from the WCHA gets it, and it's not ND I am fine.
Badgers are made up of 35% Freshamn, 31% Sophomores, 19% Juniors, and 15% Seniors.
Gophers are made up of 29% Freshman, 25% Sophomores, 21% Juniors, 25% Seniors.
Pretty balanced if you ask me, in terms of age for the Gophers. 54% of their team is Soph or below, for the Badgers, 66%. So, I am not too sure if justifying a bad year is solely due to that, I mean look at CC, 23% Fr, 38% So, 19% Jr, 20% Senior. That's a younger team than the Gophs . . . Food for thought
Skille was great for sure. I hated to see him leave the Badgers but can't wait to see him suit up for the Blackhawks. Nice Badger win over UND last night. (11/9)
Skille, Burish, and Jake Dowell are all with the Hawks. Rene Bourque, another former Badger (though not on the 2006 team) is also with the Hawks. Skille and Bourque both scored last night in the Hawks' 6-1 win over St. Louis.
This video still gives me chills I love that home town bias, Brian Posiack (spelling?) is the best, on Wisconsin!!!

Lot of those names are playing in the NHL today.
Pavelski, Skille, Burish, Gilbert, Dowell (albeit in the system in Rockford, which is not far from Madison at all)

Gophers = 2 championships in current decade.
Gophers are having an off year due to the fact that the team consists of 80% freshmen right now.

Gophers have quite more freshen then 29%. There lines have the most freshmen in the WCHA. You can't be #1 every year. Food for thought.
