Is this a well payed job? Also, is it expensive to become a pilot? Cause I wanna become one but Im not sure wether I can afford it, although, I guess the payment isn't the most important thing, cause I'd rather do a job that I enjoyed doing and earn little money, than doing a job I hate and earn a lot.
@fly4fun . Thanks for the reply. The AA 763's are my favorite. As a AA Plat, I often book on the flight that will put me on one. I was trying to guess from the winglet shot at 0:55. Looks like a 757 (?). Keep posting your vids. AAwesome...
@fly4fun I´ve been following your posts and seeing your photos for a while now, but a have to confess, I´m not much a writer. Now, you really got me with this one! It was really good, and trust me, I´ve seen enough aviation videos to tell ; ). THANK YOU! For letting us enjoy the best job in world trough you. Shall I say… "You know why I fly?" well, you do. Maybe I see you sometime at SVMI. Take care!
It's like standing in a field of clouds that never ends. It makes you feel like there's nothing ever going to get in your way and that you can just lay there forever floating on top of them, basking in the warm sun.
;) thank's I love this airplane, I took it to go to my country (Morocco) with the Royal air Maroc, what a climbing !!!!!!!!!! I will never forget it :D
@fly4fun What was your speed in the beginning where you're skimming the clouds? I love that! You really get a sense of how fast you're really going. Awesome video.

Others questions concerning the ergonomy of the 767.
I was wondering whether the seats were conforatble enough for a transantlantic flight.
Wouldn't you prefer a full seat like airbus does with their aircrafts and a little table if you need to note down some things during the flight ( even for when you eat) ??
It's a bit stiff. Say 5 pounds of pressure (a guess). But you want to push it in ever so smoothly so as to not jolt the passengers. That's why it goes in so slowly.
My advice, to anyone who want's to fly, but don't afford it or in other ways are unable to: Become a skydiver. I do belive it's the same extraordinary feeling as this video makes you feel. I know that, since i'm a skydiver myself. And the world, life and everything, looks and feel very different at 13.000 feet leaping out of an airplane, falling through the clouds at 200km/h feelin more free than you'll ever be.. =)
I believe what you're describing is called falling... flying is something where the upwards acceleration of object equals to the downward acceleration caused by gravity. A plane can do this... a piece of meat with a back pack strapped to is... well thats just not flying im sorry.
One day, this world will end, maybe in a billion years from now, maybe in a week. But this video is a fantastic example of the beauty of this planet. And we should enjoy it to the fullest.
Awesome vid, I love flying. The 737-300 I was flying in from Chicago to Toronto did a bit of cloud hopping/skimming. I believe the A321 we flew back on did as well, at night though. It's really nice to stay above the clouds where you can see the moon, and the strobes make for a nice scene as well.
That was cool seeing the sun and the moon. If you think about it, the rest of the world is under the clouds and they can't see that there is a blue sky above the clouds.
I thought NY when I saw the video, but I'm not so sure anymore. hehe
P.S.: Can you do any extensive approach videos with ATC comms, by chance? I LOVE watching those videos -- the longer the better (even without ATC, it's great). :-D
Is there a bigger sin than watching HD Videos in normal quality? Guess not! :-) Of course, I actually put HD on "automatic" if you know what I mean (no, not the autobrakes...) ;-)

MassrOmelDonia 2 years ago
And does the aircraft respond immediately when speed brakes, (or even flaps) go in or out ?
And why all the levers are so big ?
Compared to those you find on airbus aircrafts they look enormous and stiff as you said.
MassrOmelDonia 2 years ago
What's the music of the second part of the video ?
MassrOmelDonia 2 years ago
It's a stock song in iMovie. Sorry I don't have the name right here. It's not found online, unfortunately.

@fly4fun, at the end of the video, when you push on the speed brakes lever, it's looks tough. But is it really ?

drummerdude6485 2 years ago
Generally in the U.S. if you can correct the vision to 20/20 with glasses or contacts, then you're fine for a first class medical.
fly4fun 2 years ago
I do wear glasses, but somebody told me that i gotta have 20/20 vision naturally, without any contacts or glasses.
aelearning 2 years ago
If you go the military route, yes, 20/20 is needed. If you go the civilian way, you're all set with vision corrected to 20/20.
