I just want honesty in the poll reporting. I am getting sick and tired of being told how to think, or the fake top tier. Please report the results and try to be a little more truthful. I was watching one of those news stations, and it was talking about a poll that had Romney in first, followed by a very close Ron Paul second (19% to 18%, followed by Cain and Gingrich), and the commentators were going on about how the conservatives were going to ridiculous extremes in looking for substitutes for Romney, as in going from Cain to now possibly Gingrich, and gave reasons. But they completely IGNORED the presence of Ron Paul, who is obviously serious. I just don't get it.

Yes, that's why I transfixed such urgency to it. I learned a long time ago (back in '7/'08) that straw polls are virtually worthless, and that the scientific ones, though imperfect, are pretty darn accurate. This is the first time a scientific poll has had us so close in Iowa. @gamezonic Which part of what he says he is going to do are you talking about? Much of what he is planning to do to help America actually has more to do with spending cuts rather than spending itself.
Right now, half of all taxes go towards funding our military which has 150+ bases around the world. Ron Paul would close all of those bases bringing military expenditures to a fraction of what they are now. This would literally free up half of the government's income.
Nobody gives a fuck what party Ron Paul is in. Ron Paul has his following because he's realistic and unwavering. If he was in the Sparkling Unicorn party and still said all of the things he's been saying, then people would register as Sparkling Unicorn just to vote for him. @DonnyM32 Exactly my thought.If you had an RP Rep at each voting booth he could ask people arriving whether they supported Ron Paul and hand them a numbered ticket or got them to sign a book or register so that you would have the correct amount of Ron Paul votes at each voting booth,then you could compare them with the machine readouts! I feel it's the only way to keep them honest but it would take a bit of organizing.

I turned 18 this year and I have always been interested with politics but this year I was sad about the people running, then I found Ron Paul. This fucker is amazing. He has great views on things and sounds as if he is going to be able to fix the problems of this country.
Totally behind Ron Paul 100% but the one thing i have questions about is his energy policy. He doesnt talk about it much, and i think its also a very important issue.
@JJaffar11 Ron Pauls stance on energy is pretty similar to his views on everything else. Get rid of the un-constitutional regulations surrounding energy (get rid of the department of energy) and let the free market determine what kind of energy gets produced. If energy from oil is what the free market wants, Then so be it. If nuclear, fine. Green energy, go for it. It's whatever can compete in the free market.

@JJaffar11 I think there is a general consensus that we need to get off of oil as our primary energy source. Being energy dependent and not wasteful of resources is a great goal that I agree with. But I hesitate to restrict personal liberty in order to do so. The constitution doesn't grant the authority to regulate energy. That's the bottom line. But if we let the free market work, I can almost guarantee that we wouldn't be on oil. Nuclear is probably what would win out in a free market.
@toSTONEiGO It seems like America is used to having shitty presidents and when they see someone who actually sticks to the constitution, they label him as a radical. Ron is the only real candidate. If he was just like the others, he would have had more screen time. I have never in my life ever seen a candidate so obviously ignored. No more INCOME TAX. Just think of how that alone would stimulate the piss out of the economy. Just think of what it would be like to have that extra money paycheck after paycheck and not just a one time stimulus shot.
Whether or not Ron Paul becomes president, he will be forever remembered in history as the guy who had it right. If he is elected, we will remember this time as a crisis averted, and we will feel like we do when we barely avoid a horrendous accident on the road. If he doesn't get elected, he will be remembered with tears, sorrow, and mourning, because america will have done as rome did, and fall.

As much of you Ron Paul supporters love and would love to see him as president. He won't win the nomination in the GOP here's why. First he criticized Reagan which is a no no in GOP poltics. He supports gay marriage a no no in GOP politics. He's a military isolationist a definite no no and he would legalize pot a no no. He's only Republican in name only. I was watching one of those news stations, and it was talking about a poll that had Romney in first, followed by a very close Ron Paul second (19% to 18%, followed by Cain and Gingrich), and the commentators were going on about how the conservatives were going to ridiculous extremes in looking for substitutes for Romney, as in going from Cain to now possibly Gingrich, and gave reasons. But they completely IGNORED the presence of Ron Paul, who is obviously serious. I just don't get it.

Yes, that's why I transfixed such urgency to it. I learned a long time ago (back in '7/'08) that straw polls are virtually worthless, and that the scientific ones, though imperfect, are pretty darn accurate. This is the first time a scientific poll has had us so close in Iowa. Right now, half of all taxes go towards funding our military which has 150+ bases around the world. Ron Paul would close all of those bases bringing military expenditures to a fraction of what they are now. This would literally free up half of the government's income.

@DonnyM32 Exactly my thought.If you had an RP Rep at each voting booth he could ask people arriving whether they supported Ron Paul and hand them a numbered ticket or got them to sign a book or register so that you would have the correct amount of Ron Paul votes at each voting booth,then you could compare them with the machine readouts! I feel it's the only way to keep them honest but it would take a bit of organizing.

I personally predict Ron Paul will win, even if Romney is so much higher then him in the polls.
Why?
Because most Romney supporters just see him on TV getting the most time, and hear him saying "I'm against Obamacare" and sort of like him, whereas Paul supporters are fanatical.
Higher numbers in the polls where people are called up are different when it comes to actually showing up at the polls.

I turned 18 this year and I have always been interested with politics but this year I was sad about the people running, then I found Ron Paul. This fucker is amazing. He has great views on things and sounds as if he is going to be able to fix the problems of this country.

@JJaffar11 Ron Pauls stance on energy is pretty similar to his views on everything else. Get rid of the un-constitutional regulations surrounding energy (get rid of the department of energy) and let the free market determine what kind of energy gets produced. If energy from oil is what the free market wants, Then so be it. If nuclear, fine. Green energy, go for it. It's whatever can compete in the free market.

Maybe im alittle on the "green" side but if we are talking FUTURE here, we NEED renewable energy's, no exceptions. Relief from dependency on foriegn oil isnt good enough. @JJaffar11 I think there is a general consensus that we need to get off of oil as our primary energy source. Being energy dependent and not wasteful of resources is a great goal that I agree with. But I hesitate to restrict personal liberty in order to do so. The constitution doesn't grant the authority to regulate energy. That's the bottom line. But if we let the free market work, I can almost guarantee that we wouldn't be on oil. Nuclear is probably what would win out in a free market.

@toSTONEiGO It seems like America is used to having shitty presidents and when they see someone who actually sticks to the constitution, they label him as a radical. Ron is the only real candidate. If he was just like the others, he would have had more screen time. I have never in my life ever seen a candidate so obviously ignored. I don't think even Ralph Nader and Ross Perot were so ignored it became blatantly obvious.

I've become so disenchanted with Obama on that front :( To be a successful politician these days you have to be 50% charm/glam and 50% ability to appease... politics hardly seem to matter anymore.

Whether or not Ron Paul becomes president, he will be forever remembered in history as the guy who had it right. If he is elected, we will remember this time as a crisis averted, and we will feel like we do when we barely avoid a horrendous accident on the road. If he doesn't get elected, he will be remembered with tears, sorrow, and mourning, because america will have done as rome did, and fall.

He is definitely better in Economics and use of ecomomics for benefitting everyone
He is definitely a better humanist by being anti-war
He is definitely better at analyzing the bias in laws and enforcement of laws against minority
He is definitely better in improving medical care ..for starters proposing a better patient-doctor realtionship, etc.

But above all, he is definitely way better in speaking the TRUTH!

It's kind of sad that Ron never gets all the attention he deserves. Even though he does do rather well polls even without a lot of publicities, he just needs that extra boost to really get ahead. Sadly, though, America wants to hear from a man who compares our tax system to apples and oranges. But, as a 15 (almost 16!) year old girl, I'll suck up to all of my teachers if I have to just to get his name out there! Go Ron Paul! Woot!
