At first I laughed, thought she was stupid but after a minute or two of thinking I have to admit I respect this woman a lot. She could have driven home and said to herself "wow I'm not doing that again" or pulled over and walked home or "try to sober up." But instead she decided to face the consequences. If it wasn't you behind the wheel you would want a drunk driver off the road, if you were behind the wheel you would want to get home safe and not get into trouble. It was noble, lesson learned.

She could even be given a charge of lying to the police, but a DUI charge can only be given if caught WHILE operating the motor vehicle.

Even though she was drunk, and really not thinking clearly, she was aware that she was doing something wrong and could possibly kill someone in an accident. Calling 911 was probably the only thing she could do to fix the situation. Very impressive lady, IMHO. Most people don't have a clue how to think ahead about possible consequences of their actions when completely sober, and yet here is a very drunk woman doing exactly that!

@robertlworley Thinking a head is quite simple, you start by not driving under the influence, I myself am a soldier in the IDF I come home once every two weeks and drinking's one of my ways and a common way of people my age, mostly soldier to release stress, most of my friends have a license and not once have I had the they keys, was drunk and was far away from home and I know even after 10 shots of vodka that I shouldn't do it, even when my body was so effected I vomited I knew I shouldn't.
