i bought a replacement face plate with the glass off of Ebay and replaced it myself. it took me two hours to do but it only cost me 17.98 to replace. :)

yeah dude i had my zune for like 2 monthes then i stepped on it... the lcd is fine. its just that glass screen thats fucked...

yeah, i was playing paint ball and i crushed my screen, like it not just a crack, the WHOLE thing is cracked to hell and im frankly suprised that it didnt break. Microsoft used tempered glass thats for sure or else it would have broken completely. Its no big deal, just replace it yourself with some plexy glass or somthing, thats what im going to do.

PDA smart charges 50 bucks just to give you the plastic screen which is not even glass and then you have to find and pay someone else for installation. RapidRepair charges only $14.99 for the glass and if you want it professionally installed is $9.99 = $24.98.

Note: Neither of these two use the same exact screen from Microsoft.

craaap i keep finding videos on how to fix the screen, how to to open it, how to do this and that but they forgot to make a video on what to do if your zune gets wet... my ex girl's brother dropped hers in the toilet and i have it with me but i need to know if i can do it or if im fucked.

fuck microsoft and zune they suck. they took mine for almost three weeks and returned it to me in its same, cracked condition saying a tampered with it. fuckin butt monkeys

google "rapidrepair" and you will find a place out of Michigan that stocks the glass piece you need. They cost 40.00 I had the same issues with microsoft..they SUCK for customer service.

you will need a "safe pry tool" and a t-4 screwdriver to open up the zune..just go to youtube for dissembly instructions.

you dont even need to open the zune, you can just peel the glass out. i heard that rapid repair uses a different glass piece. my zune screen cracked as well and ill try the rapidrepair one and get back to you

Seriously! At least with yours you actually called and they said "No" but with me? Ooohh, no! They took my Zune for a MONTH before sending it back to me and telling me "An inspection has shown that owner's tampering with the device is what has caused the destruction and not the Zune itself." Shit bags.
