As for TKD I am not sure so not going to comment, except to say this, an expert in any martial art will beat someone who is not an expert. This fella is showing examples of lots of different styles but is a master of none. (also interesting that you observe him being "open", TKD is one of the most open styles you can get)

Sake style is a very old technique I think the guy that made all the styles of kung fu perfected it before actually using it he didn't just think it up he had time and practiced it and perfected it it is a very useful syle for smaller faster people
In a real fight, those open hands of his would be broken by a couple of well aimed strikes, rendering them useless hunks of flesh and bone. That is unless you can move your hands fast enough, and even then is there a real tactical advantage?

@drake919 your hands are primarily stretched out for the striking and blocking, which ideally should be quick enough not to be injured...snake style's primary characteristic is that blocking can change to a strike and strikes can change to a block in an instant...unfortunately this video doesn't represent the style in it's entirety, therefore not showing it's effectiveness very well

@nikecastlecrasher southern snake fist is hard to learn, but very effective. You should look up southern tiger and southern arhat fist, sound like that would suit your approach to fighting :)

Not to be rude but based on this guy's form, after doing kung fu for 10 years myself, this guy sucks; no offense intended. I can do better on a bad day in all the forms he's shown.
@JFisherUSMC agreed. his motion is still very embryonic. one, two, three, four. etc. poor posture. his balance is decent but could be better. his checks and blocks leave very little margin for error, as we saw when that elbow knocked him a little, he didn't move in a snaking manner, he never controlled his opponent, no power, looks like dancing. he never off angled/moved off line. head bobbed up and down, no deception, no head movement. blah!
You know, I don't think this guy is great or anything, but considering that he's conceptually giving a very basic rundown of styles to people on the internet who probably know less than he does, I don't think he needs to be the next Bruce Lee. No need to be a dick, really.
I wouldn't buy the tapes, but there's no harm in these two minute deals.
@Elusareth - the problem is that this guy is making up all those "moves". This is a fraud and not real martial arts. That's the reality. If he was a new student, he would not be allowed to represent ANY school but he is someone posing as an "expert". There is a harm because someone might copy these movements and get hurt in a real situation because they have no real martial content.

1) You usually attack with fingers bent a little, so the power of your thrust relies on the muscles in your fingers to keep them extended, rather than forcing your joints to take the stress.
2) If you train your fingers (striking hot sand or wood) on a constant basis, the muscles and joints in your fingers can become extremely callused (not literally) and powerful.
No... The attacks are focused on soft areas of the body. If you train kung fu you will learn to recognize those areas and those areas are often nerv centrums and getting hit there will couse allot of pain. And a true kung fu user also hardens his body (and fingers) by striking at hard different objects, this also occures in many other martial arts like Thai boxiers kick palm trees, Karatekas break wooden boards.

His form is good and though he may not explain it the greatest he does well what what GOD gave him. Jesus didn't do kung fu that we know of. Not to be rude to anyone, but why would you stick to one form in a fight... what if that person knows the style your fighting.......... Try mixing Tiger, mantas, Yin Yang, Gentle Fist, Monkey, and all styles of Win Chun together.. :-) The true dirty people would use Chi and kill the person by looking at them!!!!!!

@JFisherUSMC agreed. his motion is still very embryonic. one, two, three, four. etc. poor posture. his balance is decent but could be better. his checks and blocks leave very little margin for error, as we saw when that elbow knocked him a little, he didn't move in a snaking manner, he never controlled his opponent, no power, looks like dancing. he never off angled/moved off line. head bobbed up and down, no deception, no head movement. blah!

You know, I don't think this guy is great or anything, but considering that he's conceptually giving a very basic rundown of styles to people on the internet who probably know less than he does, I don't think he needs to be the next Bruce Lee. No need to be a dick, really.
I wouldn't buy the tapes, but there's no harm in these two minute deals.

@Elusareth - the problem is that this guy is making up all those "moves". This is a fraud and not real martial arts. That's the reality. If he was a new student, he would not be allowed to represent ANY school but he is someone posing as an "expert". There is a harm because someone might copy these movements and get hurt in a real situation because they have no real martial content.

well i thik its just his trainer.. he is clearly only a first degree black you can tel by his 1 stripe he has.. so for 1 he shouldent be teaching like he is a master ..and 2 he just needs to learn more.. i dont think he should have his degree yet ..but he is okay.. i mean he's not comptly horible you know..i mean he sucks a first degree lol

@wubs23 snake strikes straight, but for protection it moves in a circular form, it's just to get the opponents arms cleared so you can give a good strike.

@wubs23 Yea dude was fucking up during the sparring part...The think about the snake is you have to catch the bastard..they usually are quick...and ofcourse anything that moves quick....yea yea yea...you have to trap it. Unless you can move quicker than it. You cannot come at the snake straight ahead and linear...like the Tiger...The difference between the snake and leopard is mainly DEFENSE. The leopard keeps striking while the snake has more counter strikes..its flows like.........?

one thing he didnt do that snake stylists also do, is Coil into grappling techniques. Also they bite, We use Cobra strikes alot. But we also grapple with snake, since Snakes coil and wrap. But expert village dosnt have the best videos for martial arts anyway

1) You usually attack with fingers bent a little, so the power of your thrust relies on the muscles in your fingers to keep them extended, rather than forcing your joints to take the stress.
2) If you train your fingers (striking hot sand or wood) on a constant basis, the muscles and joints in your fingers can become extremely callused (not literally) and powerful.

No... The attacks are focused on soft areas of the body. If you train kung fu you will learn to recognize those areas and those areas are often nerv centrums and getting hit there will couse allot of pain. And a true kung fu user also hardens his body (and fingers) by striking at hard different objects, this also occures in many other martial arts like Thai boxiers kick palm trees, Karatekas break wooden boards.
