This was one thing that was GREAT about landryomat trips. A month in two hours! I love folding too.... I never thought of it like Zen, but it makes perfect sense!

Jesus God on a bicycle, I used to have to go to a laundromat for 20 years to do my laundry. When I moved into my home and had my own, I almost wanted to cry. My washer broke a few months ago, and they couldn't come to fix it for 1.5 weeks. I was PISSED but wore more old clothes than I ever have because I refused to go to the laundromat ;)
We really do get spoiled, don't we!? I was just talking to someone the other day how years ago when my washer broke I had to wash my clothes by hand for over a week while waiting for repairs and I actually enjoyed doing that! It was novel and I had fun! Just like when we go out in the RV on vacation and I have to hand wash dishes since there is no dishwasher in it.. I don't mind doing that.. I wouldn't want to do either on a regular basis though! LOL
My ex used to have a major complex about doing laundry and it used to infuriate me that we couldn't see the floor of the bedroom.....maybe that's another reason why she's an ex...
Oh and I just fixed my heater so your ice on the window problem...pftt..I laugh at you!
Laundry COMPLEX? ICK! I mean, what about developing a complex about yuor place smelling bad b/c you have a mountain on dirty clothes on the floor? BE GONE, dirty biatch!
I iron as little as I can get away with Sarah! hehe There's more important things in life! Some people iron socks for goodness sake! Where do they find the time? :)
My aunty Andrea used to pay my mum (Mum's big sis) to do her ironing, lol. She hated it THAT much! Ironing socks is RIDICULOUS! Knickers too! Hell, if they're something other that cottong you have a good chance of wrecking a perfectly good pair! What IS the point? I'd rather knit a new pair ;o)
a pink ice scraper? you have to be kidding me. i don't understand that at all, because i'm sure everybody wants a pink ice scraper-sure that they sold like hot cakes.

I havent been to the laundromat since I lived alone last, 20 years ago. I HATED having to do my laundry in communal machines. My mother imprinted upon me a certain way of folding my clothes, I still do it her way today. Yep, you bitch too much about good things:-)

I still do the laundromat trek about once a month because there's no washer and dryer at home. I get a whole month of laundry done in two hours!
There's a kind of Zen thing with me and folding.
I rather enjoy the whole process, but Cindy maintains that it's because I'm a quig...
