On a random note, I was one of the first 100 people to purchase the portable console at the famous midnight launch party that took place in Universal CityWalk...it was awesome.

The word Tanuki refers to a specific animal who's scientific name is Nyctereutes procyonoides viverrinus. Their western name is "Raccoon Dog", but its not a translation and they are neither raccoons nor dogs. In truth, they're more closely related to foxes than anything (hence Tom Nook's rivalry with Crazy Red). 

BTW, the japanese word for raccoon is araiguma. Just saying.

If you want it your way, then mute the audio from the movie, and play random tracks from Wild World. I'm sure that will make things...better?
