The flashback took place 6 years ago where Carol ran off with Brian a week before. But Joe and Brian didn't speak for 7 years.
Also in season 2 episode A Terminal Christmas, it's the first Christmas Faye is spending since George died. So she hasn't met the third George in this flashback yet?
I thought I'd seen all the episodes on USA when they played 'em back to back right before Quantum Leap (another fave), but I really don't remember this one...
