Man, I've just tried to make a magic memory stick 3 different ways, the same ways I did it I think the last 5 PSP's I've modded Fat ones and Slim ones. Now I just got some one 4rm schools PSP a blue slim one and now it won't work when I put the Pandora Battery in. The light turns green but no screen shows up, I've tried 2 different memory sticks too a 1GB(kid 4rm schools) and a 2GB(Mine). I've modded a blue psp b4, so how come this 1 won't work??

thats wierd wen i put custom firmware on my slim psp after the whole process of pandora and magic memory stick (i used another tutorial not this one)weni had to turn it bck on with the normal batterie i had to go to the m33 recovery menu and enable some crap or else the psp did not boot wird huh he did not do that

This is one of the few tutorials I've seen that mentioned needing a UMD disc in the PSP to play iso/cso's. When I first started using cfw on my PSP it took me FOREVER to figure out I needed a UMD loaded because no one bothered to mention it... Good Job!

you will have to get another battery...or just use the power plug that came w/ the psp.

as for memory sticks...you dont need to buy another one...just format your memory stick after you have installed the custom firmware on your psp.

no thats not what it does...custom firmware allows you to use game iso's, homebrews, and cheat devices, not cheat. what you are describing are codes. you will need a program called nitePR and the appropriate codes to go with it...depending on what game you want to cheat on. Look on youtube for how to set up nite pr and where to get codes for nte pr. NOTE:

you still need custom firmware to use the cheat device.

after u have upgraded to custom firmware do u have to do the pandora battery and magic stick all over again (say if you want to upgrade to 4.01m33) or can u just download 4.01 on to ur already custom firmware 3.80m33 and load the 4.01m33 onto the psp(is it as easy as that)

after you have custom firmware..every time you go to "settings" "Network Update" it will download the update..but will turn it into a CFW update ;)

By the way, I made my normal battery into a pandora one using a tool by Dattel (CodeJunkies). It turns any Sony PSP Fat or Slim battery into a pandora battery and back again!

The Magic Memory stick is just one that has been made bootable and had the firmware put on it. You can just backup the contents of your memory stick, make it into a "magic" stick then after the upgrade copy everything back. I did.

no, it wont "ruin" ur psp, the worst that will happen is that the pandoras battery wasnt made right or the mms.. it just wont work.. leaving ur psp fine :) and the magic memory stick, u cant turn back to normal, but not the pandoras..

watch it, u could mess up making the pandoras tho. :)

after you install the coustom firmware..

turn off the psp. take out the mem stick first.

then the battery. then plug the power cord in.

then turn ur psp back on.

and make sure its totally of first.

hold in the power button for 3+ seconds.

you have to charge the pandoras battery,

but you cannot use the pandoras battery like a regular battery. if you only have 1 battery,

then you have to use the psp charger as your source of power-in order to use your psp.
