You have some interesting views here. However, God is omnipotent and all knowing. If he chose not to allow humanity to have access to knowledge is for a reason. I agree Lucifer contributed to the evolution of humanity; however, he did not do this for selfless reasons. Plus, our accelarted evolution has only brought pain and suffering to us. Some theologians say that the days of creation were actually stages, in the bible each number has a meaning, so either it was 6 days from God's point of view(since God is not bond by time) or by stages that involved many years to take. But this isn't evidence for the bible, it is evidence that the universe had a beginning and was cause by an un-cause causer (God) since Nothing can cause things to exist.

There is a power and only power called YHWH. This power (elohim) is all there is. Everything is a result of this being. Satan is a 'word' that appears many times in the Hebrew scriptures, it is almost always translated into english as adversary/opponent. Get real; the history of cuneiform states otherwise. Even the story of the flood has some recognized basis in various writings. The Bible may contain some arguable myths, but science more often than not has proved some basis in early recorded historical facts. And if he comes across a village that does not worship him, you should take a sword and slay everyone within the village. I am not trying to preach to anyone, and not trying to trick, fool, or belittle anyone either, so please do not be offended. I just read some of the comments, and so many people seem to have a blind hatred for Christianity, so they flock to anything that appears to stand against it. I am simply trying to make sense of what every Christian should understand and how it relates to something that Christians normally rally against. When God created everything, he desired for us to be able to be with him in Heaven. Selfish right? The Bible states that God is a jealous God, so he "admits" to being selfish. Anyway, with the events of the garden of Eden, and the fact God cannot be in the presence of sin, we now needed a way of getting back to God as he originally planned. This is where he sent Jesus to be that intercession (sp?)... thus, the Gospel, and the reason for Christianity in the first place.
It says in the Bible that God desired for everyone to be able to live in Heaven (when he created everything), and had no one known about sin and the ideas of right vs wrong, everyone would indeed have been able to fulfil his desire. Yes, that is selfish, but it's also written that God is a jealous God. And because sin entered the world through that event with Adam and Eve, and God cannot be in the presence (sp?) of sin, he sent Jesus to be an intercession (sp?)... Thus, the gospel.
I don't think tyranny was God's reason for why he didn't want Adam and Eve to have this knowledge of right vs wrong. I believe that he looked at it in a parental manner. He didn't want Adam and Eve to know because he didn't want them to hurt or know disappointment and all the things related to that knowledge. He thought it was for their own good that they didn't know. Had they grown and gotten well in age and maturity, maybe God would have showed them right vs wrong... when they could handle it.
First, out of the gate I must say to those who hate... I am a Christian. Also, I have yet to watch part two of this. I agree with 98% of what you said in this video. The 2% I question is the idea that it was Lucifer's "job" to create light and make things out of the void as you say in the video. My concern with that is can you back that up? I have read the Bible, and believe there to be many takes on many different areas. I believe alot of things were changed or left out from the original text, when the church did their bit of revising. Well, I'm sure that there are many different takes on the subject, as Satanism is currently what Christianity was during the reformation, with dozens of slightly different beliefs striving against each other. But when I followed this particular theology I and the group that I followed believed hell to be much like Earth, only under the banner of Satan. But a place of extremes, with the most beautiful of plains and the most frigid tundras. Etc
Of course I've met Satanists who've believed it to be a place of fire, as described, but the fire was not dangerous. Others who believed it to be a single city. Etc etc. Like I said, many different takes. One interesting footnote however is that within the Bible, the place of eternal torment is referred to as the Lake of Fire, whereas Satan's dominion is referred to as Hell. Never vice versa, ergo, it leads to a conclusion of mine that they are two different places

@GothicWiccan13 1st off you should know that the bible was originally written in 3 different languages, Hebrew Greek and Aramaic, the book of Genesis was written in hebrew, numbers in hebrew have different meanings for example the number 7 is a symbol of completion.

Some theologians say that the days of creation were actually stages, in the bible each number has a meaning, so either it was 6 days from God's point of view(since God is not bond by time) or by stages that involved many years to take. But this isn't evidence for the bible, it is evidence that the universe had a beginning and was cause by an un-cause causer (God) since Nothing can cause things to exist.

okay Lucifer is NOT Satan. this name is associated with Satan because of a misinterpreted passage in the bible referring to the defeat of the babylonian king who was referred to as "morning star" (Isaiah 14:3-20) which in latin translates to Lucifer. Lucifer had no relation to Satan until post new testament times. hope this clears some things up.

There is a power and only power called YHWH. This power (elohim) is all there is. Everything is a result of this being. Satan is a 'word' that appears many times in the Hebrew scriptures, it is almost always translated into english as adversary/opponent. Get real; the history of cuneiform states otherwise. Even the story of the flood has some recognized basis in various writings. The Bible may contain some arguable myths, but science more often than not has proved some basis in early recorded historical facts. The way you define God(Yahweh) as a murderer is incorrect. If you were to take a life it would be murder, why? because your under a moral law. God is the moral law giver. He isn't bound by the law like you and me. Secondly Yahweh didn't curse mankind for all eternity, if that were true all humanity would've been in hell already. @jonathanfater I am a biblical scholar and a philosopher, I've spent countless hours doing research, and in the end I came to the conclusion that a book that was written over the course of 4,000 years, was translated several times, and has 1/3 of the original works missing, cannot contain the truth. Satan and lucifer have never been the same being... only since the KJV of the bible... Lucifer is only mentioned here in Isaiah 14:12-17. This is a mistranslation, because in the original Hebrew it was a fallen king of Babylon. Anyway, with the events of the garden of Eden, and the fact God cannot be in the presence of sin, we now needed a way of getting back to God as he originally planned. This is where he sent Jesus to be that intercession (sp?)... thus, the Gospel, and the reason for Christianity in the first place.

It says in the Bible that God desired for everyone to be able to live in Heaven (when he created everything), and had no one known about sin and the ideas of right vs wrong, everyone would indeed have been able to fulfil his desire. Yes, that is selfish, but it's also written that God is a jealous God. And because sin entered the world through that event with Adam and Eve, and God cannot be in the presence (sp?) of sin, he sent Jesus to be an intercession (sp?)... Thus, the gospel.

I don't think tyranny was God's reason for why he didn't want Adam and Eve to have this knowledge of right vs wrong. I believe that he looked at it in a parental manner. He didn't want Adam and Eve to know because he didn't want them to hurt or know disappointment and all the things related to that knowledge. He thought it was for their own good that they didn't know. Had they grown and gotten well in age and maturity, maybe God would have showed them right vs wrong... when they could handle it.

First, out of the gate I must say to those who hate... I am a Christian. Also, I have yet to watch part two of this. I agree with 98% of what you said in this video. The 2% I question is the idea that it was Lucifer's "job" to create light and make things out of the void as you say in the video. My concern with that is can you back that up? The other thing is your claiming and questioning as to whether God is a tyrant or not.

I have read the Bible, and believe there to be many takes on many different areas. I believe alot of things were changed or left out from the original text, when the church did their bit of revising. I'm still not saying I believe any of it as truths, rather some truths and alot of stories and viewpoints. I still have questions, but for now, thanks for answering what questions I have asked.

I'm Atheist. I just wanted to ask both sides here a question.. To the Christians,"What are you doing here, Go repent for being here, back to church with you!" To the "South of Heaven" side, 1st of all interesting music, 2nd, I understand the freedom from oppression from a tyrant "GOD", but still why would you follow a being of knoweledge that promises "HELL"? Just curious, what do you have to gain in an afterlife in "Hell?"

Well, I'm sure that there are many different takes on the subject, as Satanism is currently what Christianity was during the reformation, with dozens of slightly different beliefs striving against each other. But when I followed this particular theology I and the group that I followed believed hell to be much like Earth, only under the banner of Satan. But a place of extremes, with the most beautiful of plains and the most frigid tundras. Etc

Of course I've met Satanists who've believed it to be a place of fire, as described, but the fire was not dangerous. Others who believed it to be a single city. Etc etc. Like I said, many different takes. One interesting footnote however is that within the Bible, the place of eternal torment is referred to as the Lake of Fire, whereas Satan's dominion is referred to as Hell. Never vice versa, ergo, it leads to a conclusion of mine that they are two different places

Furthermore friend, you should have realized by now that our religion is much like the Christians during the Reformation, there are dozens of different theologies revolving around a central idea right now. And you and I seem to follow two different beliefs. But that is the beauty of it, it gives us a chance to see from a new perspective. But anyway, in response to another of your comments which I removed(I did remove them because that many was annoying), I do indeed consider myself Luciferian.
