Wow. Really? I found out 3 weeks ago that I'm pregnant, IN SPITE of using birth control AND condoms. I will be 17 when my baby is born, and the thought of doing this on purpose is absolutely ludacris. Any teen that gets pregnant on purpose obviously has no idea what they are getting themselves into. My neices and nephews put me through enough - the thought of raising my own absolutely terrifies me. Doing this on purpose just makes no sense to me. None at all.

where are you getting your statistics? male condoms are over 99 percent effective and female condoms are still over 90 percent effective.
what's with the extra percent that it doesn't work? human error. using the condom wrong (not pinching the resevoir at the tip, for example), using a lube that destroys the condom's materials, or allowing the condom to get too hot while in storage.
and how does the effectiveness of a condom depend on how religious you are?

also, Higorillaz , birth control pills should not be used instead of condoms because they only protect against pregnancies and not stds/stis. plus, they are ONLY effective if they are taken exactly right and there are full grown, mature, responsible women that have trouble taking their bc pills every single day exactly on time.
bc pills + condoms would make a good team to prevent pregnancy, but i would never recommend the pills alone. i was conceived on bc pills! i'm proof it's unreliable!

i feel bad for these girls. there is no one to guide them. they think guidence is giving then birthcontrol pill and sending them out on there way will help them. but really teaching minors abstenence is the best way. dont give in to your hormones girls wait until u have the maturity to handle the emotions and consequences that come having sex and from your actions.I personaly am 23yr. and i waited until i got married.. and it was worth every hard and tempting moment. but at the end. im a winner

Please tell them before its too late, it doesn't take but seconds to get pregnant. There are nice guys out there, don't purposely get pregnant. At least it takes time for this usually to happen, with any luck, maybe god will make it take long enough that these girls will realize they should wait for mr. right. Please stop!! don't do this, there will be a nicer guy down the road to share your life with the right way.
