I was there for the Saturday show. I'm 56 y.o., and have seen alot of things, but I have to say that Saturday was the best day of my life, to see eight B-17's in the air at one time. It was like every childhood dream I ever had came to life.
Thanks very much SpeedRacer ! Not only was it a genuine privilege to take part in the formation flight and such a unique piece of history, but it was has also been an immense privilege to meet many of the men who flew and maintained these old birds back in WWII - many of whom I have been fortunate to call my friends, and no doubt like your own father, all of whom have been remarkable individuals and a great inspiration to me over the past 20 years.
All I can say is ... AWESOME. I was there and am so gratefull for the chance to see 8 B-17's in the air. Thank you for such an AWESOME video.. My dad was a Top turret gunner/engineer on a B-17, and due to him, I have a passon for this great LADY called the B-17
I was there both days, and loved both Saturday and Sunday (my 40th Bday) even through the heat. You got a little better perspective than I, though I did get a B-17 flight this summer. Still must have been a real rush to see other Forts out the window. Thanks for sharing.
@93rcflyer I was aboard The Yankee Air Museum's own Flagship - Yankee Lady.
Probably one of the most difficult decisions that I had to make was when Ray Nickells from the YAM said to me "Which B-17 do you want to fly aboard this afternoon......?" Decisions, decisions !
Excellent job on the video. Thanks for sharing for us folks who couldn't physically be there. I was however parked at my work and got some nice shoots of the Blue Angels flybys. That I plan on uploading shortly.
this couldnt have been August 2011...Liberty Belle went down in June 2011.

Correction -- this was 2010, not 2005 or 2011.

This was at Thunder Over Michigan 2005, not 2011.

@Lazascar
No, this was neither 2005 or 2011 - It was Thunder in Michigan 2010. I have my flight dates stamped into my Uk Passport as proof!
