@LiruLover An onimusha (oni warrior). An oni sword, it doesn't have a name I think. Oni are not demons, but they look a bit like demons.

now I know why kaede from inuyasha sounded so familiar, I used to play this game when i was 10, couldn't beat it from the beginning, so i kept playing on my dad's file from the point where you fight the final boss. The only onimusha game I almost beat from the beginning was onimusha 3.

The first Onimusha's difficulty, is rooted on whether or not you can keep your enemies in a straight line; just don't let yourself get surrounded, and the dumbasses get easily hacked down.

Myself I had the most trouble with those "roller" guys and the giant ogres, those two giant ogres towards the begining that you need a rifle to kill.

other than that though, the game got easy after a while.

the dark realm was tough the first time though.

This game was pretty easy for me (except the damn water puzzle), there are a lot harder games that I have played.

19 flourites beat my 99 i cheated i used a codebreaker and beat the game in 2hr 13 min i had max health infinite talismans and infinite of everything but then i lost just kidding i had bishamon at beginning of the game

To get Bishamon sword (also infinite arrows, fire arrows, burst bullets and bullets), you need to finish mini-game Oni Spirits. When you do, ultimate game mode will be available when starting a new game. Bishamon sword helped me with getting "S" rank, because with that sword it's easy to defeat every monster, including bosses, and thus finish game with good time.

Take the Bishamon Ocarina from the last level of the Dark Realm, then use it in the door which is near the final save point... it is shown in this playthrough.
