She is great. But watching old footage of Galina Mezentseva kind of spoils you a little. So I'm a little let down.

Don't hand the shame to the orchestra. The musicians are just performing like they are told. The ceography could be better. More lively.

@Lauriefishbone in the large costume meant that it was large to me like a robe or a cloak.i would prefer to be like her but to be so fat ugly untalented and useless.she is very thin,so beautiful and talented and she is dancing so lightly and delicately

I think she's the most delicate Giselle I've ever seen. Really soft, sweet and fragil, makes me think she's kinda sick (which is not bad, since Giselle IS sick). Beautiful lines, too, and those penchees en pointe are perfect.

Beautiful lines and balances! Although, I did not like how her upper body reacted to the hops on pointe...and I feel that her last circle wasn't large enough....She sord of cut it.....

Other than that, I like her. Didn't love her..but i liked her.

WOW. I refuse to believe that technical perfection exists! Dancers strive for it every day, and are humbled by the daily realization that it does not exist...but Kolesnikova shows that it does! Now we all just have to feel inadequate :P! I would critique her arms or musicality or artistry or whatever, but I just can't. Though I agree that those more important aspects of dance need some work for her, I just can't get over how GOOD she is!

Beautiful legs and feet but why has the ending of this variation been simplified. Olga Spessivteva danced the original and it did not have this ending. Watch Dame Alicia Markova or Alicia Alonso do the original. I think Markova learned the variation from Spessivtzeva.

Kolesnikova is an unusual Giselle. But I don't think this is a bad thing(I have seen her dance it live and she was utterly amazing). She has a very noble appearance, not really an obvious Giselle, but she creates something new and her acting is so sincere. She is a very intelligent ballerina.
