Oh I wish you had the scene from "The Scarecrow" in this where he's chasing Buster around the edge of a wall! It's so clear how much genuine, unscripted fun they were having.
Some of "Mr. Arbuckle's" best silents are now being uploaded by YouTube friends. Check out "The Hayseed", one of his best, and other great contributions by Ziegfeldgrrl.
Luke appeared in at least 9 movies from 1914 to 1920 and his genuiness and enthusiasm as an actor carried the comedy in most. For more Luke, Fatty's Plucky Pup and The Butcher Boy are on U-tube. What great music-just perfect for Luke.
Yup AgentES - he also appeared with Buster Keaton in "The Scarecrow. By the way, here's the story of how he got his name: one day the director Wilfred Lucas asked Minta Durfee to hang over the edge of a bridge as part of a rescue scene and promised her a special bonus if she did. The bonus turned out to be a new puppy and Minta decided to name it after Lucas - calling him Luke.

Great clip.
America`s dog before the Media decided to destroy them.
They will outlast the Media attacks because more and more people are learning the truth and refusing to swallow the Media mush.

Only the public called him "Fatty", which he never really liked. Buster and all his friends(and Damfinos today) call him Roscoe.

As we say here in Georgia, "Damn Good Dawg!"
So when does Luke get his own DVD box set?
Too bad he never made the transition to sound!
