  • you guys in a huey?

  • Looks like a Squirrel to me.

  • Wow! Is that where greenstone grows?

  • Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately it is not where you find the greenstoene. Rather, it's got its name because maori people used to walk through this valley to collect one particular type of greenstone in Milford Sound, called Tangiwhai, which is bit softer than other greenstone so that they can carve tangiwahi to make accessories and stuff.

  • Thanks! I'm wearing one right now, It's a greenstone tiki which sort of represents my name for the web site! I'm not maori and I just bought it from the shop. Is that a sin? I also have on my computer desktop a cartoonalized greenstone tiki. Would that be a sin as well?

  • I'm not sure if it's a sin, but I've heard lots of people saying you shouldn't buy one for yourself but it has to be given by someone else because it brings a bad luck buying one yourself. However, I'm not Maori either, and not 100% sure of the authenticity of thisinformation.
