Thank you for being there! I think the young fox was quite surprised to see you there too! I've never been to Cleethorpes but will visit on December 3rd 2011 on the Pathfinder train from Eastliegh via Lincoln excursion. Excellent video and very interesting. Thanks.
Great video! I put in 'trains at Grimsby and Cleethorpes' and found this gem. As an ex-driver I remember Cleethorpes from the 1970s with the sidings full of coaching stock and the old fuelling point, Not forgetting the through services to and from KX sometimes worked by Deltics as I had the joy of working a couple of those services into the resort myself. I still visit the area as my brother lives 100 yards from Suggitts Lane crossing.
@TheSIY22366 It'd be stupid if they did, as 170's cannot cope with the loadings that 185's currently take. 170's are only used on the quieter services at the moment Monday - Thursday (possibly Friday's now, too), and doubled up on weekend services. 170's in permanent use on the Manchester Airport - Cleethorpes's will only be in pairs for most of them.
@TheSIY22366 Nope. 185137 formed the 06:00 Cleethorpes - Barton on Humber Northern Rail passenger service, then the 06:58 Barton on Humber - Cleethorpes Northern Rail passenger service. After doing this round trip, it forms the 08:28 Cleethorpes - Manchester Airport TPE passenger service. This happens Monday - Saturday all the time, with Class 185's running on the first round trip from Cleethorpes to Barton. Class 158's used to do it before the Class 185's came into service.
Nice vid mate. You must be about the only one up in Meggies at that time of the morning. It still Irks me see see the way the line has been reduced to a single track. Its not so long back that the whole area from Cleethorpes station to New Clee station was a mass of sidings, full of fish wagons during the week and excursions at the weekend. What would we give to go back to those days.
@epcotcentre Thanks for the comment. It seems the low early morning sunshine helped to make the fox stand out a bit more. It seemed to be concentrating more on me than the Class 185 creeping up behind it!
The amount of times I've done that route xD haha :P

Great video there Richard, and very interesting as well. You should do a video about your Signal Box in future. 5*

Very good - the shot with the fox walking the rails was excellent.
