@iamtheroy Not true. I have a friend who started out playing Rock Band/Guitar Hero drums. That got him interested in drums. He Got REAL drum lessons and is now in a band doing gigs,  making some money and having fun. Which in any case doing more then you are trolling on the internet.

Looks really awesome man. I'd consider buying it but i'd be worried Rock Band would add another drum or something, making this awesome one obsolete. That and I'm not paying that much for a video peripheral.

Any chance of doing a video of you playing another song but from a different camera angle; i.e. one looking down on the kit? or from the other side? :)

As far as RB adding more, i doubt that would ever happen. but even if it did, the XBOX ION head unit has 8 inputs. it supports 4 drums, 3 cymbals, and a kick pedal.

pretty much all music games are better played with headphones; no outside noise distractions, speakers closer to you for less audio lag, etc. in this case, i'm using a headphone splitter to have one line go into the laptop to record audio while the other goes to my phones so i can hear.

well if i didn't use headphones here, i wouldnt be able to hear anything. my yamaha reciever can't output through the headphone jack and main speakers at the same time, and that's the line i'm using to record on my computer. so its either split the phones line or hear nothing. :)

they have a yellow and a green symbol cause thats how it is on the original four so its optimal. its basically so it looks more real and if your use to a real drum kit.

it acutally has 2 yellow, blue, and green. the rockband game itself knows the difference between both and plays the audio accordingly, although it doesn't have any impact of the gameplay, just fills and freestyle mode or whatever it's called :P

Sorry to me out of context but in a pont about the actual cration of the video, the camera angle could be better as to show the snare being hit. Think about positioning the camera a little further around to the left next time. Oh and sorry for not mentioning anything about how good or shit the game is or how much better the other game is than this or how gay something is in the clip or how awesome i think everything else is apart from this.. just couldnt think of anything just yet.

im getting this drum set..... how do the cymbals work like what color does it register for>?

they corrospond to whichever color you set them to. it comes with two cymbals and three color discs (so you can choose which setup you want). playing them is just a matter of what's most comfortable. a yellow note can be triggered by either the yellow drum or yellow cymbal. it all depends on which port on the head unit the cymbal is plugged into. it has plugs for red drum only, and all other colors have plugs for both cymbals and drums.

Its called the ION Drum Rocker, it doesn't come with Rock Band 2, and costs $300. The regular RB2 drums cost $80-90, I think.
