This guy was worshiped for his tail. it has no bones, and can be removed at any time, but they kept it because the people in their country thought he was the reincarnation of their god. It doesn't harm him in any way at all, ya. I saw it on some channel when I was flipping through trying to find something good...I did.
this recessive gene has led scientists to believe that at some point in time humans had tails. we all do actually at the end of our spines but they almost never develop as much as the people in these pictures.
@primodragoneitaliano Though that may be true, I still think it isn't really a tail seeing as how whoever squished it, almost flattened it. so there probably isn't any bones in it. so technically it's just extra tissue.
^_^; NOy My cat (I found out the painful way, but other than to be made fun of, so people with tails have any use for them? Have any even Moved without being held and bent? IDK if I would want a tail, but were I to have one, I would like a long one. like a Cat! ^_^ Meow!
lol goku XD no but evolution explains that since we came from simians we started with tails but then out "tail bone" grew shorter and shorter cus DNA, maybe this person was imbred and 2 parts of the dna made his tailbone longer.
@jediskunk67 The fetus actually grows a tail though it later dies off before birth. The tail is due to our evolution from when we evolved from tree climbers. The tail sometimes does not die off as in normal humans, though this mutation is a rare thing.
i get that kid is seriously uncomfortable with her touching the tail like that. and why would she bend it like that. does it have bones and muscle in it or is it just a pile a collected flesh and fat cells.
It's a real tail with bones and muscle. Google for "human vestigial tail." You have one too, it's just a lot shorter and known as the coccyx (which has been adapted to other functions). All mammalian embryos have a tail, although most human embryos resorb it before birth.
@balancedaustralia I like how instead of responding with something legitimate, you chose to act like a 5 year old and go the "you're jealous" route. Well played
@ahmology It's the only type of growth I could find that resembles it and it has placement congruous with the spine. What else do you think it could be?
I WANT A BIG FURRY TAIL LIKE A KITTY CAT LOL i woner if they can do sergurie and put me a furry tail and make my hair spike up for life hmmm id be the human Vegeta off of dbz
The lack of vertebrae or functional muscle tissue in this case makes this appear not to be a convincing example of an atavism; it could be a tumor. Evolution can indeed go "backwards" because there is no backwards or forwards in evolution, because there is no teleology on adaptation.
Actually, this could be a simple growth or an accident on the body's part. Something within the embryonic stace could have triggered an old and "sleeping gene" that has been in hibernation in the DNA strand but still there. This gene could cause the growth of extra skin, bones, and muscles that could produce a moving tail on a human with ease. The second version is more for the man with a 5cm moving tail instead of the man in this video.
I would have mine's remove, why? Because what can I do with such a small and short tail? Unless, if it is as big and long as a lion's, then I will keep it.
I'm surprised there are more instances of this, all it is essentially is an extended spine with muscle etc attached. I mean, you get people with extra fingers and toes, I think that's far more weird. I'd think that maybe you'd have instances of a 'tail' where it just protrudes out of the skin and can't be moved. I don't expect he can control that thing.
Spinal surgery is dangerous, but that thing is a little small and fleshy- I'd personally have follicle transplants to get it furry (thus less dick-looking) and elongate it.
Lot of y'all getting all scientific but do you realize she is grabbing his tail. His tail that was clinched between his booty cheeks. She probably left there an ate a ham "samage"(sandwich) and didn't wash her hands. So I can't spell but he got a tail. Oh I can't punctualize but she ain't sanitize. Basically after seeing this I don't care no more. Nasty hands self.
YOOO i'll tell you what that is straight up and simple. its a fucking dick. i bet his dick fuckin came out on the wrong side. I bet it gets hard too!!!
The real Monkeys uncle is finally exposed for what they our. Black people don't have tails. Fatty tissue my ass, they can wiggle that tail, you can't wiggle fatty tissue. White supremacy is a lie they told to the whole world, these people have been hiding their true identity.
People really in medicine already know this is not a tail- I speak to the average person on youtube.I will not speak so they can't understand-The average laymen can see for themselves the truth.I don't care what you think of me,you do not know what your talking about. You think you know everything-Yeah study...Please.You are a fake. You do not know about medicine.
I believe the connective tissue in a fake tail consists of mostly a lipoma with spinal cord extrusions.
The true tails however are actually functioning...they can move, and will sometimes have additional vertebrae
During embryological development, the tail disappears, however the fact that when it does not disappear it can actually form into a functioning appendage with vertebrae shows that our DNA provides for tail growth, and that growth is suppressed during development.
you would not form such a complex additional structure from a mutation involving gain of function...that would be way too complex. What has been observed is that the embryological tail remnant has the capacity to actually form into a structure. The presence of additional vertebrae is very convincing of this. It is more likely to be a vestigial structure then, as opposed to a newly formed growth (the true tail, not the pseudotail)
In 1982 Dr. Ledley pushed to have the "human tail" to be accepted as proof of evolution-Medical and Secular Science refuted this idea, proving that this was actually an anomalous growth...NOT a tail.-Evolution cannot go backwards--see " Evolution and the Human Tail " by Dr. Fred D. Ledley.....also..."The New England Journal of Medicine"...also.." National Academy of Science---This is NOT a tail. This does not confirm evolution. It is just a growth, NOT A TAIL.-------
But it is exactly on the spot where we can still feel we used to have something hanging out.
Compare this position, with the tail of dogs and cats for example. Furthermore, there is a Russian young guy with a 5cm tail he can move at will. (Search YouTubue for it)
The position to where it's located is only a coincidence-This same growth has been on peoples legs, back, chest, arms, and face-Evolution cannot go backwards-Science and Medicine both have ruled this not a tail-we mostly hear of it in the "tail" region because it's fascinating to think as a tail on human-That what seems like, where a tail used to be, is the spinal ending-It doesn't matter if it can be moved-some people can move their ears or wiggle their noses--
Thanks for the youtube reference.I will check it out. This does amaze me-This growth is cousin to a wart-If evolution could go backwards, once in a while, someone would give birth to an ape or fish-This does not take away from your videos-it is still amazing-Your video is great-I study medicine, and it is a fact, science has confirmed,it is a growth not a tail and does not support evolution-Great video though.
A review of the literature and analysis of the pathological characteristics reveal that the vestigial human tail may be associated with other abnormalities. Vestigial tails contain adipose and connective tissue, blood vessels, and nerves and are covered by skin. Bone, cartilage, notochord, and spinal cord elements are lacking.
yea...too bad we didn't have any idea in 1982 how embryologic development worked. because then I'd agree with you if we did. but we didn't...and now we've actually seen real tails form as a result of suppressed morphogenic factors during embryological development....
"evolution cannot go backwards" is a pretty ridiculous statement...there is no direction in evolution...
in fact there are many vestigial structures that exist during development...embryos have gills for instance
this tail looks like a growth. But there are tails in medical textbooks that have formed and include the appropriate spinal development, as well as connective tissue, striated muscle fibers, and nerve connections.
your research there is a bit outdated although I applaud your attempt.
TheLostGuitarist- Some people can move their ears and wiggle their noses, and I need not mention they can feel. Yes there is connective tissue, how could it exist without connective tissue?- You are a fake. It is not a tail !! It has never been considered a tail. If you disagree please give legitiment references. Please don't waste my time with sc-fi. Only medical facts please.
how about my medical textbook? I don't think you know what connective tissue is.....a growth would not be considered ONLY connective tissue by the medical community (I would know I'm a medical student).
I listed all of the components of the tail. Connective tissue, MUSCLES, NERVES
sorry to disappoint you...you're 100% wrong. Do you know what connective tissue is? Do you know what a caudal appendage is?
the presence of striated muscle and nerves indicates an actual formation of a structure
You seem to think connective tissue means anything. Apparently you've never taken anatomy.
A caudal appendage would not have muscle and nerve fibers except sensory nerves on the skin. The presence of motor neurons and striated muscle indicates a tail, as well as the spinal extrusion.
In this video that is clearly not the case, this is probably a caudal appendage.
However I have seen documentation of actual tails with the required anatomical structure I will refer you to the study
in the journal of pediatric dermatology, vol 12, issue 3, pp. 263-266
Abstract: Human true tall is a rarely reported anomaly that may have a marked psychologic impact on the patient's family and may be associated with other congenital anomalies. A true tail in a newborn girl is reported, and findings from a review of the literature are summarized. The clinical and pathologic differential diagnoses are discussed, as they might affect the management and prognosis of this congenital malformation
There have been 23 true vestigial tails reported in the literature since 1884. A new case is described, and its magnetic resonance imaging and pathological features are presented. (continued....)
Tails are easily removed surgically without residual effects. Since 29% (7 of 24) of the reported tails have been associated with other malformations, careful clinical evaluation of these patients is recommended
so about 29% of the tails are not really tails just caudal appendages according to this review.
If you have access to pubmed then you can download these articles, there are many and yes there are documented cases of tails with vertebrae (I believe the most vertebrae found in a tail was 5). These are additional vertebrae, not an extension of the sacral vertebrae by the way
there have been humans born with tails. the tails grew out of the tail bones. medical and scientific fact. please, try to do a little research before you comment on a science vid
i'll provide you with one more reference from a medical journal and then I need to get back to studying!
"33 previously reported cases of true tails and pseudotails are summarized. The true, or persistent, vestigial tail of humans arises from the most distal remnant of the embryonic tail."
"The true tail arises by retention of structures found normally in fetal development. It may be as long as 13 cm, can move and contract, and occurs twice as often in males as in females."
Thats right you are still a student, a nurse? you do not know what you are talking about- Current medical science still agrees with the 80s debate that this is not a tail- get a life- No new evidence proves otherwise. You only want to believe so bad don't you? There is no such thing as a human tail- My info is current and up to date- Finish your school then comment me back-Get out of youtube and read the medical journals-
your medical info is up to date? hahahaha really? and from which journal are you speaking from? Which medical journal says that this phenomenon is not a tail? Because I just checked 6 and not one has anything remotely close to what you're saying, in fact every single one has proven me correct.
I can send you more references but I doubt you have the medical education necessary to even understand what connective tissue is..let alone why striated muscle, vertebrae and motor neurons are significant
There is no debate about it its been documented lol A caudal appendage is not a tail. YOU are referring to studies of caudal appendages which often are a sign of another underlying disorder, often involving neural tube closure defects
THE HUMAN TAIL PHENOMENA IS DIFFERENT. Maybe you've been reading about the wrong phenomena? at least 5 human tails have been successfully documented in medical journals involving additional vertebrae, striated muscle and motor neuronsTHAT IS NOT CAUDAL APPENDAGE
What journals say this is a tail and not a caudual appendage? And the date please? You must be in your first year of school and think you are an expert- You are weak in research. I dont care what "journals" you wrote yourself- You still have failed to give proper reference- I am not in school anymore and I pray to God you never intern under me- Maybe by then you will not be biased- Medicine is not as biased as science, peoples lives depend on it- We don't allow theories to be called fact.
You're not a physician nice try though. Because 1. you'd be fully aware of caudal appendages. 2. you would know what connective tissue is. 3. you would know how to read! I just referenced you 3 journals if you read the comments I even copied and pasted the abstracts for you
"we don't allow theories to be called fact" wow you are DEFINITELY not a physician you don't even know the difference between a theory and a scientific theory!
SO YOU THINK GERM THEORY IS A THEORY AND NOT FACT
CELL THEORY
GRAVITATIONAL THEORY
ahahahahha pathetic!
go lie somewhere else! Learn to read! I can send you 12 more journals if you'd like any idiot with access to pubmed could look up these articles...FURTHER PROOF YOU ARE NOT A PHYSICIAN
I born with monkey tail and birthmark.

TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
you would not form such a complex additional structure from a mutation involving gain of function...that would be way too complex. What has been observed is that the embryological tail remnant has the capacity to actually form into a structure. The presence of additional vertebrae is very convincing of this. It is more likely to be a vestigial structure then, as opposed to a newly formed growth (the true tail, not the pseudotail)
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago

(Search YouTubue for it)
balancedaustralia 2 years ago
The position to where it's located is only a coincidence-This same growth has been on peoples legs, back, chest, arms, and face-Evolution cannot go backwards-Science and Medicine both have ruled this not a tail-we mostly hear of it in the "tail" region because it's fascinating to think as a tail on human-That what seems like, where a tail used to be, is the spinal ending-It doesn't matter if it can be moved-some people can move their ears or wiggle their noses--
shotsxxx 2 years ago

TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
yea...too bad we didn't have any idea in 1982 how embryologic development worked. because then I'd agree with you if we did. but we didn't...and now we've actually seen real tails form as a result of suppressed morphogenic factors during embryological development....
"evolution cannot go backwards" is a pretty ridiculous statement...there is no direction in evolution...
in fact there are many vestigial structures that exist during development...embryos have gills for instance
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
this tail looks like a growth. But there are tails in medical textbooks that have formed and include the appropriate spinal development, as well as connective tissue, striated muscle fibers, and nerve connections.
your research there is a bit outdated although I applaud your attempt.
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
TheLostGuitarist- Some people can move their ears and wiggle their noses, and I need not mention they can feel. Yes there is connective tissue, how could it exist without connective tissue?- You are a fake. It is not a tail !! It has never been considered a tail. If you disagree please give legitiment references. Please don't waste my time with sc-fi. Only medical facts please.
shotsxxx 1 year ago
how about my medical textbook? I don't think you know what connective tissue is.....a growth would not be considered ONLY connective tissue by the medical community (I would know I'm a medical student).
I listed all of the components of the tail. Connective tissue, MUSCLES, NERVES
sorry to disappoint you...you're 100% wrong. Do you know what connective tissue is? Do you know what a caudal appendage is?
the presence of striated muscle and nerves indicates an actual formation of a structure
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago

Detailing the human tail.
Abstract:
There have been 23 true vestigial tails reported in the literature since 1884. A new case is described, and its magnetic resonance imaging and pathological features are presented. (continued....)
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
Tails are easily removed surgically without residual effects. Since 29% (7 of 24) of the reported tails have been associated with other malformations, careful clinical evaluation of these patients is recommended
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
so about 29% of the tails are not really tails just caudal appendages according to this review.
If you have access to pubmed then you can download these articles, there are many and yes there are documented cases of tails with vertebrae (I believe the most vertebrae found in a tail was 5). These are additional vertebrae, not an extension of the sacral vertebrae by the way
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
@shotsxxx
there have been humans born with tails. the tails grew out of the tail bones. medical and scientific fact. please, try to do a little research before you comment on a science vid
MrMegatruth 1 year ago
i'll provide you with one more reference from a medical journal and then I need to get back to studying!
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
this is from Hum Pathol. 1984 May;15(5):449-53.
Human tails and pseudotails.
Dao AH, Netsky MG.
so maybe before you start shouting "FAKER" you could do a little research on your own and not make the busy medical students do it for you.
Hope this helps
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
Thats right you are still a student, a nurse? you do not know what you are talking about- Current medical science still agrees with the 80s debate that this is not a tail- get a life- No new evidence proves otherwise. You only want to believe so bad don't you? There is no such thing as a human tail- My info is current and up to date- Finish your school then comment me back-Get out of youtube and read the medical journals-

haha I just cited you like 3 different journals go read the articles

or are you saying you're more educated than the researchers whose article is in the journal of pediatric dermatology?

TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
your medical info is up to date? hahahaha really? and from which journal are you speaking from? Which medical journal says that this phenomenon is not a tail? Because I just checked 6 and not one has anything remotely close to what you're saying, in fact every single one has proven me correct.
I can send you more references but I doubt you have the medical education necessary to even understand what connective tissue is..let alone why striated muscle, vertebrae and motor neurons are significant
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
where did you go to medical school that your expertise is greater than that of the current medical researchers?
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
There is no debate about it its been documented lol A caudal appendage is not a tail. YOU are referring to studies of caudal appendages which often are a sign of another underlying disorder, often involving neural tube closure defects
THE HUMAN TAIL PHENOMENA IS DIFFERENT. Maybe you've been reading about the wrong phenomena? at least 5 human tails have been successfully documented in medical journals involving additional vertebrae, striated muscle and motor neuronsTHAT IS NOT CAUDAL APPENDAGE
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
What journals say this is a tail and not a caudual appendage? And the date please? You must be in your first year of school and think you are an expert- You are weak in research. I dont care what "journals" you wrote yourself- You still have failed to give proper reference- I am not in school anymore and I pray to God you never intern under me- Maybe by then you will not be biased- Medicine is not as biased as science, peoples lives depend on it- We don't allow theories to be called fact.

go read the previous comments you fool
You're not a physician nice try though. Because 1. you'd be fully aware of caudal appendages. 2. you would know what connective tissue is. 3. you would know how to read! I just referenced you 3 journals if you read the comments I even copied and pasted the abstracts for you
TheLostGuitarist 1 year ago
"we don't allow theories to be called fact" wow you are DEFINITELY not a physician you don't even know the difference between a theory and a scientific theory!
SO YOU THINK GERM THEORY IS A THEORY AND NOT FACT
CELL THEORY
GRAVITATIONAL THEORY
ahahahahha pathetic!
go lie somewhere else! Learn to read! I can send you 12 more journals if you'd like any idiot with access to pubmed could look up these articles...FURTHER PROOF YOU ARE NOT A PHYSICIAN
