Christmas special looks great.So what if it's taking inspiration from "Narnia"?The thing about Doctor Who is,unlike most things,when it uses other people's ideas,it takes them and makes them original and unique.That's how great the show is.It can use someone else's idea and do it's own spin on it.

So Maffat is given a show about a alien who can travel through time and space allowing him to create his own villians own concepts and styles and yet he does another old story just with a bit of time travel. I'll watch it but from what I can see its weak.

I thought the clever take last year when they did a Christmas Carol was interesting and a very sci-fi twist to a classic but doing it two years running shows a lack of imagination - Almost like he spent so much energy and time on the confusion of series 6 he didn't have any creativity left for the christmas special!!
