I'm thinking about training here but does anyone know how much they charge per month to study? I found their website and they only list the price per day. I don't need to live there because I will have my own place elsewhere but there website doesn't offer a per month price.
@dragonfist25 Not really. They fight muai thai rules. Blocked strikes still score, and judges generally favour kicks, elbows and knees. You can completely outbox an opponent in a muai thai match, and still lose.
when i was training there i never tougth the gym was that famous, and its 100%truth what they say, no fancy stuff, no pampering, just hardcore painfull awesome training, my first 2 weeks there i was barely able to walk...
Let's not be too nuthuggerish here. Ali was a heavyweight and most of these guys fight at around 120...Ali would ko any of them most likely. I trained there for about a month 2 years ago and it was great but too packed with other foreigners, the trainers were over worked and there wasn't enough space. But right as I was leaving they were finishing up an expansion on the gym (i got to help put the ring posts in) so I can't wait to go back next trip to Thailand.
Naaa im not, if you found someone who classified in the same weight category, they would kill ali in the ring, no doubt...
From my muay thai training, nothing i have experienced is as painful as an elbow to the head, or a knee..... and theres no way in hell Ali would have prepared for that pain...
Unless he knocked the Muay Thai guy out in 3 seconds of course...
a thai round kick has the same force as a tae kwon do tornado kick, if not more, so why would you use it unless you were trying to impress whoever was watching the fight?
yes, if you're serious about training, kaewsamrit takes in foreign fighters who are either getting ready for their fights or who just want to do some serious, hardcore training. definitely NOT for tourist types. all our pro fighters based in China train there to get ready for big international bout.
