floyd is more than music, i mean, i really enjoy listeninmg to dp, led zep and jimi, but pf is different, it goes straight to the heart in some kind of manner and it hurts me deep inside, seriously, to see what other people consider music. it's an insult to me personally.

thank god i was born in the 70's and brought up with bands/artists like pf, queen, beatles, marvin gay, elvis, led zepplin, the who, simon and garfunkle, stevie wonder, the eagles, neil young, sabbath, miles davis, coltrane, bee gees, james taylor to name a few and lets say my musical introduction as a young lad influence me to be the man i am now. i feel sorry for this generation and what they have as music to influence them in their later adulthood

@TheKalen486 honestly, a lot of the younger generation is starting to realize that the music they have now falls short of what true talent is (esp when compared to Floyd, Clapton, Hendrix, Zeppelin, the Stones, etc...) and I hear the younger generation listening the classics as apposed to the general trash that is played on the radio.... so maybe the next generation isn't doomed... just maybe

@TheKalen486 Well, I'm 18 years old and I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Sinatra, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kiss, Queen, Kinks, etc.. It doesn't really matter what decade you were born in these days, it's really how you are brought up on music. I grew up listening to a lot of 70's music and I'm just attached and I don't see myself listening to anything else in the future. Check out my Pink Floyd cover if you don't believe me.

@Sweetbabyjesuss great man the thing born in the 70's you get to see these great bands live in there prime. my dad who was a big hippie brought me to see queen news of the world tour and pink floyd animals tour in 77, neil young tours throughout the 80's, michael jackson in 84, pink floyd 1994 pulse tour, jimmy page robert plant tour in the early 90's, guns n roses/the cure/prince 89 tours, and u2 twice in the eighties.

@Sweetbabyjesuss c'ing these bands/artist in there stadium rock prime was the shit then good EX: pink floyd stadium light spectacle and freddie mercury when he was alive I saw them in milton court i was 7 or 8 and his control of like 100,000 plus fans was epic. ur decade dont have artists like that well U2 still has it and can pull epic stadium concerts. basically its not the same cause they are old the voice and energy level isnt there

Ah, sim, e o Final Cut é pésismo, perto dos álbuns onde não só o Waters compôs.

The Wall é quase todo do Waters, mas a melhor música, Comfortably Numb, é do Gilmour; Dogs, a melhor música do Animals, é totalmente do Gilmour, também. Vai querer me dizer que o Waters compõe tão bem quanto o Gilmour? Completamente absurdo.

Syd Barret morreu ha pouco tempo. Gilmour já toc. no Pink Floyd mto antes de sua morte. Tlvz o correto seria dizer que Ele entrou depois que o vício em LSD inviabilizou a carreira de Syd. O Roger é mto bom, mas em Final Cut Ele dá mostras de esgotam. de repertório além de certa prepotência sobre a banda, o que o leva a deixa-la, que após a sua saída é brilhantem. conduz. por Gilmour que produz excel. trabalhos após a sua saída. Os dois são geniais, porém Gilmour teve mais sobrevida artistica.

Os Pink Floyd funcionavam como um grupo. Não existe melhor nem pior, aliás cada um tocava um instrumento diferente, tanto Roger, David e Richard escreviam as letras. As musicas que ambos tocam aqui saíram de um dos grandes trabalhos da banda, boa parte desse álbum foi escrito por Richard e Roger. Claro que não podemos esquecer Sid Barret, como lembrou Carlinhos2161, mas estarmos aqui a dizer que A é melhor que B não faz sentido. Já imaginaram os U2 sem um dos membros? Ou os Rolling Stones?
