  • @MrRyno2012 it's easier to bake from a cake mix then doing it from scratch.

  • @Ethirbeinz

sry im from Germany and i don't know what that is. could you please tell me? thank you :D

  • Crisco is perfect, im making them today for saturday

  • @cherryboo65 Oh great have fun making the pops and let me know how they turn out. :)

  • THANK YOU SUGAR!!!

  • @AuntFANY :) You are welcome

  • If I don't have crisco can I just use Stater Bros. vegetable shortening?!

  • @Lilly103105 Yes any vegtable shortening will work. Enjoy!

  • @CookingwithSugarTV If there called CAKE pops why would you use donuts? And if your so good at baking why do you use box mixes. Im a 12 year old BOY and I make all my things from scratch.

  • @CookingwithSugarTV

can you please explain me whats crisco or a vegetable shortening? thanx

  • Wats shortening ? Xxx I come from the uk !!!

  • @MizzenSisters I believe Atora Light is made from vegetable shortening and is a similar product to Crisco. That should work fine.

    Good luck, Sugar

  • This makes me hungry👍😊

  • When i Do mines After i freeze them and get ready to dip them in the chocolate the stick falls out of it?? What do i do?

  • @MariahPiedad I know it can be tricky when making these pops. Make sure you dip the tip of the stick into the candy melts like I show in the video and then halfway into the pop. That will give you a base that should hold the pop in place once it dries so you can dip the whole pop without it falling off. Good luck.

  • Sorry but I don't understand what you mix to the candy melts in 1:45 . Because I had the same candy melts and I had got the same problem.

  • @Emma79803 She said "crisco", it's shortening.

  • Donut holes are already REALLY sweet, and on top of that, there are candy melts coating....Isn't it really too sweet?

  • @ElliePuppet No it's actually so much less sweet than the regular cake pop. If you see my blog on how to make a traditional cake pop they are a mix of frosting and cake and then dipped in the candy melts. It's way sweeter than any doughnut hole.

  • You save my self some time here!!!!!! TFS!!!! Loved them!!!!

  • @reynux So glad you liked them. :)

  • But where's the fun in that? The baking of, and forming of, the pops is the best part!

  • @ncmuziklavva You think so?? I don't!! The dipping & decorating is the Fun part for me. I make them both ways, often & my favorite part is always the decorating. Thanks for the feedback. :)

  • Thank you so much for the Crisco tip! I too thought that the candy melts were super thick when I made my first batch of cakepops. I love how the cake pops turned out but I found they were a ton of work (I made Bakerella's chick cakepops) and I've sort of been dreading making them again, but with peer pressure from work and your tips...I might make some more. Thanks for your video!

  • @nellie272003 Oh I know they take forever to make and that is why I do them this way for big parties. The kids don't care how you make them so they love them either way. My kids and my husband like them better this way because they aren't as sweet as a regular cake pop. Give it a try and keep me posted.

  • I love this recipe so much!! I made them for my boyfriend instead of chocolate. He said it was really yummy! Thanks you so much! You are the best!

  • @ETJ4444 So glad he liked them. Thanks for the feedback. :)

  • oh wow i hadn't thought of using donut holes... what a great time & money saving tip! Thank you so much, Sugar!! Way better than baking a cake

  • @xx0ink So glad you like my idea. :)

    Thanks for the feedback.

  • Girl, I just had to leave you a comment. I thought I would make cake pops for Valentine's for my kids. I have 2 teenage boys. I was short on time so I ran to Walmart, bought the donut holes, candy melts. I used chocolate and glazed donut holes. My boys just came home from track practice ate about 6 each and said, "Mom these are waaay better than the ones you usually make., I didn't tell them my secret. Thanks so much for posting this delicious time saver! Happy Valentine's Day!! :) xx

  • @lakegirl645 Oh you are so sweet to take the time to post to me. I'm glad this worked for you. My kids like them better this way too. Happy Valentines Day.

    :)

  • Love the video, but I find that my candy melts still seem to be to thick after i add the crisco oil :( is it possible that im not letting them melt long enough in the microwave or that i might be melting too long? One last question, u mentioned that u add the crisco while u microwave them is that correct? Thanks for any help :)

  • @valp227 Hmm. I'm not sure. Try cooking them for a minute or two first with the crisco, then stiring in between and just cook 30 seconds at a time until they are smooth. You can add extra crisco if you need to. Hope this helps. :)

  • @CookingwithSugarTV Thank you so much for the feedback, i wil try this next time :)

  • LOVE IT!!! Thanks for posting.... and to the haters out there,,,, if you don't have anything nice to say, then keep your mouth shut. I am gonna try this this weekend.

  • @Thchanator Thanks for the feedback. I do wonder why some people have such strange comments now and then but the nice people far out weigh the haters. :) Let me know how it turns out.

    Sugar

  • when you melted the choc and added that "crisco" did it change the taste of the choc??? and what is that crisco anyways? never heard of it...

  • This is an awesome idea! I have the valentine party for my daughter and this would be a great idea to use for valentine day treats! =) Thank you!

  • omg i used that cake mix and icing! woa!!

  • @TheLPSmoon Oh yes it's yummy for sure. Glad you like it.

  • ooooooooh...yumeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:)

  • they look real good im going to try doing some for a babyshower next wkend question the doughnut holes glaze or plain ?

  • @romero6788 Yes that is a great idea for the baby shower. They usually have a light glaze on them but if you can find them without it they work both ways.

    Enjoy!

  • Thank you for making this video. I want to make cake pops for my son's 1st birthday but it seemed like to much to have to do all the steps in all the other videos. I was almost ready to give up on the idea because I knew I wouldn't have the time for all that plus everything else I will need to do, but when I came across this video, I was like, "Wow. I would have never thought of using doughnut holes. This makes things way easier." Thanks again. :)

  • @PeAcEandLoVe891 Oh I am so glad this is going to make it easier for you. That is why I did this video because of busy moms like us.

Happy Birthday to your little one. :) God Bless....

  • Did it last night as a "test run" for kiddos VDay parties coming up! Success and a HIT with the kids! Do you have a pinterest or twitter acct to follow? Ty for the vid!

  • @hearthappy04 Oh I am so glad you like it. I just started a pintrest page. You can find me on pinterest just go to the home page and add /cookwithsugar/ they won't let me post a link here. :)

  • doughnut holes, brilliant

  • @joybikeride Thanks for the feedback. These pops are fun to make when you don't have to do all the other work. :)

  • Brilliant! Thank you for making this vid for us busy mamas!

  • @hearthappy04 So glad you like it.

Let me know if you make the pops and how it turns out. :)

  • @CookingwithSugarTV AwkSauce

  • holly crap

    40 kids

i had 7 at my 10th b day and is was HORRIFIC!!!

  • so sexy

  • WATCH ALL CAKE POP VIDEOS .

    (until finally confident enough. xD)

  • @kronicladyx they sell them at the bulk barn in canada they should have them(:

  • Thank you for the wonderful tip on cake pops. I had the same problem you described when I made them before. I will definitely try the Crisco method and use doughnut holes.

  • @Cyneere I still make the cake pops the regular way from time to time but in a hurry or when I have 100 or more to make I do them this way and everyone still loves them.

    Glad to help.

    Sugar

  • omg thats a good idea cooking with boobs thanks

    sugar

  • @tokai48 So silly! LOL!!

  • 40 KIDS????

  • @peacebugs7 I know crazy right?? 40 kids is way too many for a party but it turned out great. I would never have 40 boys but girls aren't that bad. :)

    Sugar

  • hi there, awesome video.. i live in canada, they dont sell candy melts unfortunately and anytime i melt normal chocolate chips in the microwave they get like hard really quick... is there anything you know of i could substitute them for?

  • @kronicladyx You should be able to get almond bark. It will work just fine. Check online too.

    Good luck.

  • They look very good

  • @Cheyenne1197746 Thanks so much!

    Sugar

  • Wow this really helps because usually when I make these I dip them then I lay them down (bad idea) but then when they cool down the bottom of the cake pop gets flat but now I know to put them standing up

  • @NaturalyBeautifulKay I'm glad my cake pop video was helpful to you.

    Sugar

  • This is a good idea!!! Thank you!!

  • @ticklemoi You are so welcome.

    Sugar

  • Love your idea. Very easy for me because I don't have enough time to bake. Good job!!!

  • @mhv88 I'm so glad this is helpful to you.

    Sugar

  • HI, I tried the olive oil and it worked! now I just have to figure out why they are breaking. thanks for this awesome tip. will let you know when I have mastered them!

  • @tessapurpleorange OK keep me posted. Good luck.

    Sugar :)

  • @herflower05 Yes you can certainly use your Crock Pot Little Dipper or a double bolier to melt the candy melts. Enjoy!

    Sugar :)

  • "your mum rates me" song in the background

  • You should call your channel "Cooking with Boobs."

  • @iParatrooper No, I can’t call it "Cooking with Boobs", that might imply that I'm stupid. I don't want to mislead anyone. I might be blonde, but I'm pretty darn smart. ;) LOL!!

  • @iParatrooper lol

  • @iParatrooper Was thinkin the exact same

  • @iParatrooper Hey! Don't be rude! Her video was great!

  • Can I use a Crock Pot Little Dipper to melt the Candy Melts and keep them warm to finish all the pops???? I haven't been successful with the microwave.......

  • I tried it, but it seemed as if the donut holes were too doughy... I like it better with cake...

Bit thank you so much for all the videos!!!

  • @igotthatswaggerr Thanks for the feedback. Most people like them better because they aren't as sweet but it's a personal prefernce. What doughnuts did you use? I think the Chocolate Entenmann's the best I think. They aren't doughy at all because they are a cake doughnut hole.

    Sugar

  • @igotthatswaggerr You have to use "cake donut holes" NOT just regular donut holes

  • Hi, this is awesome. Just a quick question. I live in Botswana and it is so hard to find these ingredients here. Where in the store would the vegetable oil be? we are limited with these things, maybe I overlooked it. Do you know if the olive oil worked?

  • @tessapurpleorange Hi if you only have olive oil to use it should work. I'm not sure about getting the other ingredients. You may need to just make a cake and do the recipe the old fashioned way. You can see that on my website cookingwithsugar

  • Thanks for this sugar

  • the music is the same from the end of communitychannels videos where she reads out the comments at the end

it was bugging me the whole video and then it clicked!

  • I just wanna thank you so much for sharing your amazing idea with us. Your a life saver. I'm already thinking of ideas for a homemade special treat for my boyfriend on Valentines Day also 4 year aniversary and I wanted to make cookie pops or cake pops but was not looking forward on baking a cake and I get to decorate them wich is the fun part!!!!

  • @HubbaHubbaLady You are so sweet to take the time to leave such a nice comment. This does make the process much more fun. I'm sure he will love them.

    Enjoy!

    Sugar :)

  • Thanks very much for share this great idea! is easy and good

  • @Yesynike I'm so glad you like it.

It's fun to make the cake pops this way.

    Enjoy.

  • nice

  • lol

  • Wow!!! very easy.. Thanks for the tips!!!

  • is crisco shortening?? i'm from Malaysia and this is the second time i heard the word crisco (the first time in a novel)

  • @crazywildberry Yep it's just vegetable shortening.

  • @CookingwithSugarTV thanks :D

  • wow i never new u could use donut holes for cake pops good job u are amazing

i used muffins and crumbled it and made it into a ball the regualar way but urs is awesome

  • @danteasemota123 I'm so glad you like it. I make cake pops like this all the time and they come out great. If you try it let me know what you think.

    Sugar

  • can i use olive oil?

  • @ellefunnie I have never used olive oil because of the flavor but it should work the same.

If you try it let me know.

    Sugar

  • @CookingwithSugarTV

Hi I'm from the UK what is crisco?please

  • @lilyleo1 It's vegetable oil in a solid form. I think in the UK white trex or white flora is similar to what we use here.

  • @CookingwithSugarTV Thank you I am new at this but going to have a go cake in the oven as we speak unfortunately no Dunking Doughnuts here but thinking of getting an electric popcake maker

  • @lilyleo1

    it's vegetable shortening.

i think you guys use copha or something like that.

  • Great video! Where can I find the pop sticks?

  • @XOestella Most craft stores sell them in the candy or cake decorating section.

    Thanks for the feedback. :)

  • This is great, I am also baking cupcakes for my daughters 2nd birthday. I am very hands on with all her celebrations and your idea is going to help me with time, plus who doesn't love Dunkin Donuts! Thank you!

  • @TheLucy2103 Oh how fun. I'm glad you like my idea. Hope your daughter has a happy birthday.

    Hugs,

    Sugar :)

  • very helpful thank u!

  • @mrssammiamm Thanks for the feedback. Be sure and check out some of my other videos. Sugar :)

  • is crisco butter??

  • @mzguachitaNo Crisco is a vegetable shortening that comes in a solid or a liquid. I prefer the solid for this use.

Butter will cause the candy to seize up so Do Not use butter.

    Sugar

  • @mzguachita no.... if you dont have crisco add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to your candy melts

  • This looks delicious! Lovee it! ♥ (:

  • @21foreverryoung I'm so glad you like them. If you try the cake pops this way be sure to let me know how it works out.

  • awesome vid thx for the advice

  • dla czego zawsze w takich programach sa same mamyski typu Milf ;p

  • I like the video! Really easy to make now! especially the Dukin donuts are so YUMMY!

But one thing is...why would u wear a dress while cooking/making? At least it didn't get on ur dress!

  • @kawaiigurl23 Thanks for the feedback. I actually wear dresses all the time. I live is south Florida so it's most comfortable to be in a dress or skirt. I also like to look nice in my videos. I feel like when I film a video people are getting a chance to come to my house so I think it's only appropriate to look nice and make it entertaining.

    Happy New Year.

    Sugar

  • Nice

  • 😱

  • Thanks for the video!! Now I know what to add to make the melted chocolate a bit thinner

  • I am so hugry

  • i love this video im glad that i saw it now i can do cake pops really essy nd ill chech ur videos nd website for more

  • Thank you so much for this shortcut! I've always failed at cake pops, but this recipe was a total success!!!

  • @vdubgypsy OH I am so happy it worked out for you. Cake Pops can be so hard to make. As I mentioned in my video it was a mess when I first made them.

Thanks for the feedback. Happy New Year!

    Sugar

  • That was by far the best video I've seen. Great job!

  • @matstudios WOW! You made my day. Thanks for the great feedback and be sure to check out some of my other videos. Happy New Year.

    Sugar :)

  • That was by farthe

  • I'd love to put some icing on your cupcakes :-)

  • @MrSolarSonic Hmm. I think my husband might have a problem with that.

    LOL!!

    Sugar :)

  • i wanted to know when you say Crisco the oil or what would it be??

  • @azalea12310 I use the solid Crisco but the liquid works too.

  • Sugar, can I use donut holes from the donut shop???? Please, reply!!!!!!!!!

  • @helenita05 Sure Have fun making them. :)

  • @CookingwithSugarTV THANK YOU!!!!!!! I kow doughnut holes from the shop are softer and have a better taste, so I wasn't sure they would be okay for the making of "cake pops".... I'll try to make them tomorrow for the first time..... Thanks for this recipe.

  • @helenita05 If they give you any trouble because they are too soft put them in the freezer for about 20 minutes before you try adding the sticks and dipping them.

    Good luck,

    Sugar

  • @CookingwithSugarTV No, the candy melts mix is hard and I didnt put in microwave long..... it's hard!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @helenita05 You need to microwave it for about 30 seconds at a time and add some of the Crisco and mix it in between until it softens. It will be fine it just needs to melt more.

  • @CookingwithSugarTV THAK YOU!!!!! Also, do you think the holes from the shop have a better taste than the ones you used???? Thanks again....

  • Omg you just made life easier.. I'm going to make my Cake Pops now. Thanks!!

  • wow you are so smart, so easy, deffinately will try:P keep it up:)

  • @unsaanwar oops spelled definitely wrong:P lol

  • @unsaanwar Thanks for the feedback. Be sure to check out my other videos too. I have some great recipes.

    Sugar

  • @missPandaaaz if you use icing it will be soft and rub off

  • I loved your vid! Can you buy doughnut holes in australia

  • @QTluvsme yeah, they have then occasionally at woolies and coles, but have a look at donut king

  • COULD WE JUST MELT ICING AND DIP THEM IN THAT?

  • @MissPandaaaz I have never tried it but, maybe. I will have to try that soon and see how it works out. I'm guessing the frosting won't dry like the candy but let me know if you do try it.

    Sugar :)

  • thx

  • so how are the dunkin donuts holes? are they light and fluffy? because other people smush cake crumbles into balls to make cake pops and it turns me off sooo much. they look so heavy and thick that im sure it takes out all the fluffiness of the cake..which is part of why cake is so nice! thanks for the dunkin donut holes idea!! :) please anyone let me know how the bread is for those

  • @Eidolin I like the doughnut holes better because the cake is more like cake and not like play dough but I think it's a personal thing. I also think the regular cake pops can be too sweet. Give it a try I think you will like it.

    Sugar :)

  • so awesome!! you rock! im so glad i saw this cuz i had that same issue with the chocolate being to thick!

  • @ScrapPages Glad you like my little tip with the chocolate. Have fun making them.

    Sugar

  • thats really creative!
