@jhynesyahoo they are under hunting rules. There is a open season on them I think from oct till the end of Feb. Hunting in March is done under license till Patricks day. After that Hares couple and mate

Chasing games with dogs is not hunting for the people, it's hunting for dogs and for people chasing the dogs and shooting the game after dogs finished hunting it. The fun of hunting is it's peace, quiet, suspense, challenge and finding and chasing the game yourself. Dog hunting is lazy and cruel since dogs usually catch and tear up the animal.

I like to call it "Sniping post". Just stay at a place you know they usually pass through, lurking for them. When hunting this way, I use to bag around 20 hares and/or rabbits a day (dogs are good to catch one, but you spend a lot of time trying to find any of those that got scared and ran away because of the noise). BTW, what caliber do you use? I like using pellet guns (.22 or 6,35mm). What do you think?
