PART 1 : 7:00 mark Indian Soldiers were expected to risk their lives but neither received the same pay or living conditions. Not much changed in the raj I see.Look at the Gurkhas today.
@Cytacon Churchill warned of war with Germany pre ww2 for months when others didn't take it seriously. I suppose I could say 'I thought he was a good wartime leader' but you could easily highlight a blundered battle but it would be hard to fight a perfect war. I don't think he did well after the war.
@Hellsconsort Without US support Churchill would have been cooked and served. If Germany concentrated on invading Britain in 1941 it would have neutralized any possibility of a two front war before it invaded the soviet union. Britain, despite all of Churchills bluster and bravado could not have resisted or even contained a German Invasion, it was on the ropes, London would have been captured in less than a month. The invasion of Russia in 1941 was the biggest mistake of the war.
@Cytacon I wouldn't say without US support. I think it would have still been won but taken longer. The Americans didn't enter the war for 3 years, and obviosly were a great help. Hitler did try to invade Britain. But it lost the battle of Britain and could not sustain invasion. The atlantic largely had help from the Canadians at first, which pushed U-boats into American shores, which often hindered merchent ships by exposing them with city lights, they refused to turn off.
@Hellsconsort They didn't get their act together until 1943 and even after that they still used suicidal human wave tactics, Russian commanders had a total disregard for the lives of their men. If Hitler bypassed the quagmire of Stalingrad, cut off the Volga and took the Baku oil fields the war in the East would have been won.
Fuck the white British dogs. We will avenge the blood and toil of these poor Indian soldiers now. Come dear British, face the wrath and revenge of history. Your white queen's ass is about to be gangraped by us coloured people. Watch your bankrupt nation, poodle of America, discredited and dishonoured, go into the dustbins of history.
@Mrparrot73 I dont think you should have hatred to this extent man, chill, those old people are all ready for their grave, but the present generation is not like them, its all changing, look at our own country, take for example the Brahmins, what they were, they are all going to the grave, God's destination, but the present young generation of Brahmins is not like them, they are mixing with us so much, although discrimination runs in their blood, but there is so much difference than what it was.
This very documentary you are watching is made by the "British" Broadcasting Corporation, which is the present. Has any Indian corporation made a film like this ? Not at all, they will only praise corrupt politicians of the past who destroyed this country in the name of freedom and brainwashed our forefathers with the media. our forefathers were dumb and they believed them and agreed to be human shields against the British canons. Whose names are the history books ? The cheaters of India
@joyedwards100 Ya...dont you see? It's a film of self justification made by BBC, trying to prove that Indians wanted to fight and die for their British slavemasters. It's called "forgotten VOLUNTEERS". Why would an Indian company make a movie trying to prove that Indians LOVED British domination and wanted to die in battle to prove just how much they were enjoying being slaves?
@joyedwards100 Don't you see how pissed off the BBC is that a handful of Indians broke their "oath" of allegiance to the Queen? The documentary ends with the BBC complaining that modern India has only respected the INA and neglected the soldiers who were loyally and gratefully promoting the slavery of India.
@Mrparrot73 come on dude, its all foolishness gone by, it is past history and we do not know what really happened those days, We cannot stop thinking about it but I think we should stop wasting our time brooding over it, what we need now is look at the present and the future, where are we, what is our status in life after independence, are we a free country, do we have really have equal freedom ? what are we doing about it ?
@joyedwards100 Yes...according to the Economist (British!) report on democracies, India has a better electoral system, a stronger functioning of government and more civil liberty than UK, France or the USA. Go check it.
@Mrparrot73 One other point we need to note here is Britain has more true documentary evidence than we have in India. what we have in our history books and media so far is all stitched according to the needs of the present government and politicians, there is far more truth which is hidden from us and Britain has them and they will not reveal it to us because they are tied up with our present govt, even for this video they would have gotten the Indian govt's permission, they are all fooling us.
@joyedwards100 Second, it's been 4 decades without an Empire and where is Britain now? They destroyed themselves in WW2 which was fought due to European greed, then they got huge loans from the US to rebuild, they turned over themselves as lapdogs of America in order to cut defence needs. And still... in just 4 decades, Britain has reached financial ruin. What does this tell you? The evil Briton cannot exist without being a vampire. They tried being honest and its against their basic nature.
@joyedwards100 The last 4 decades have shown that Britain is a parasite nation. It used to thrive on others' blood. Now that it doesn't have the power to feed on others, the parasite nation is shrivelling up and dying. In despair, the British are trying to feel better by celebrating royal weddings and imperial symbols. The whole of Britain got together to celebrate imperialism on Apr 29th. What does that tell you about the core values of Britain? Imperialism, racism and colonialism define Britain
Yes my friend, colonialism was evil and wrong. British, French, Spanish, American, Italian, doesn't matter, it was all wrong. And it was all done by greedy rich bastards using the common man to do his dirty work. But don't forget one thing, Japan didn't fight the war to "Liberate" her Asian brothers. They wanted a piece of the action and if they had won India would have been treated the same as China was. Bose was right to resist Brit rule but naive to trust the Japanese.
@Retro327 The enemy of enemy is a friend. That's the oldest rule in politics. This BBC documentary, wondering why Indian slaves weren't feeling loyal and grateful to their slavemasters, is downright obscene.
@Mrparrot73 Have you seen the statistics for deaths at the hands of the Japanese on the Burma railway?
A lot is made of the allied POW's who died on the railway, 12,619 of them.
Most people don't know that over 85,000 civilian slaves also died. Nearly 7 times as many.
In this case the "Enemy of your enemy" was not your friend. They used some naive Indians who actually thought Japan would help them gain independence faster and had they taken India the Indians would have been treated no better.
@Retro327 The Japanese wouldnt even have invaded India if it was not part of the British Empire in the first place. Further, at least the Japanese didn't tell anyone their purpose was to bring about general welfare of Indians and "prepare them" for self governance. Check out the BBC video on "India gets independence". On Aug 15, 1947, all that the BBC could remember was that Britain's "mission in India" was over. Bloody hypocrites. You call enslaving a "mission"?
@Mrparrot73 The Japanese would have invaded India in a heartbeat if there was something there they wanted. How about Korea and Siam, were they part of the British empire? Both independent nations invaded by the Japanese.
Anyway, why is an Indian patriot like yourself living the good life in the USA. Why are you not back in India helping rid the country of poverty and the disgusting caste system that while illegal is still in practice. (And don't tell me it's not, I know better)
@Retro327 I opened this YT account while a student in the USA. At least the caste system in India is illegal. Your monarchy is legal and celebrated openly. Do Indian newspapers, media and government celebrate the caste system? And further, India has a system of 50% reservation in all govt jobs for lower castes. In some states, even more than 50%. 50% jobs for 25% of the population! See that? Has England so much as said a word of remorse, let alone try to make it up?
@Mrparrot73 You accuse me of living in the past also, just went down and browsed a few of your comments, your posts are filled with anti-British sentiments and highlights of occupation, slavery from decades to centuries back. My arguements are from the past decade.
Fine if you want to debate but don't use a double standard, it bleeds of ignorance and sophism. Obviously you have a negative agenda.
@Retro327 Few years ago, there was an Indian blockbuster movie "Lagaan" about a bunch of Indian villagers beating their British masters in a game of cricket. A pure fiction movie. The British press exploded calling it "anti-British". Can you imagine a movie about a slave revolt in an American plantation being called "anti-white" in America?
So...why do you British celebrate your imperialism, your monarchy and the slavery of others? Why dont you Brits ever say a word of remorse? Why?
@Retro327 So...tell me, why do official British polls say 45% are proud of the Empire? And worse, why is the British media sad that the number has dropped from 55 to 45%?
Can you imagine 45% of Americans saying they are proud of slavery? And worse, can you imagine the New York Times expressing regret that the number is now a "mere" 45% and not 55%? To start with, can you imagine the US govt polling people so as to have a debate over whether slavery was shameful?
You need to channel your righteous indignation to positive ends. You mention slavery. Slaves were brought to America to produce product for the masses while making a few extremely rich. Same thing goes on today except America and the rest of the west keep their slaves in third world countries producing cheap goods for the masses while making the elite few even richer. Think Phil Knight and Steve Jobs among others.
@Retro327 You are fooling no one, dear Brits. America used to have a history of slavery. They abolished it, apologized and so much as using the word "nigger" will now invite extreme public censure in USA. In Britain, the newspapers joyfully report how much pride the British still take in their Empire and the public spills onto the streets, celebrating the imperial highnesses and their royal weddings to this day. India has never received one word of apology or remorse from Britain.
@Mrparrot73 The world has changed from the common man being exploited by military force under colonialism to the common man be exploited by economic force under globalism. This is what your generation needs to be angry about. We condemn slavery when it's the white race subjugating the black race but Asians subjugating other Asians to feed the west's appetite for cheap goods seems to be totally acceptable to your generation with your ipods and other cheap goods. Be angry about that!
@Retro327 Absolutely! And tell you what. We have gone one step ahead of remorse. In order to repair for caste injustices, India reserved as much as 50% of all jobs for the lower castes. Large admission quotas were created at educational institutes. They remain fully in force to this day.
Your turn. Last I checked, Prince Philip was mocking the dead while standing at the site of the Amritsar Massacre of Apr 13, 1919.
@Retro327 Let alone remorse, the British govt officially and formally celebrates imperialism with overwhelming public support. Newspapers wax eloquent about it, the evil monarchy sits at the HEAD of the British state! An open celebration of imperialism!! Newspapers go around polling people about how proud they are of imperialism. The British fucking ANTHEM is God save the queen!
You can check on Wikipedia. The Indian anthem does not mean "Bloody lower castes". Slightly different, eh?
@Mrparrot73 The British ended slavery a full 60 years before the USA. Additionally, the primary role of the Royal Navy for the 100 odd years that it dominated the oceans was to wipe it out. Your view of history is made crooked by your own BIAS and BITTER views, it would seem that you can't look back with any kind of impartiality and view everything in black and white. Do yourself a favor and get a life, you'll live longer.
@Talbot6832 Churchill on gandhi: he ought to be lain bound hand and foot at the gates of Delhi and then trampled on by an enormous elephant with the new Viceroy seated on its back
Thank you...thank you Britain. Maybe you would want to hold another Amritsar Massacre on April 13, 2019 to commemorate 100 years of this wonderful proud moment in British history very dear to your beloved Royal family.
@Talbot6832 Also, thank you Britain for your anti-apartheid stance. I think Thatcher sent the Royal Navy to South Africa to intervene and end apartheid. When the whole Western world decided to cooperate with apartheid South Africa, Thatcher boldly stood up and boycotted SA.
O wait... I am a little confused. Is it possible I said that backwards??
@Mrparrot73 You're living in the past. It's easy to argue your country did this (negative), my country did this (positive). The important thing is to remember and learn from mistreatments and crimes and educate our children to be human beings.
@Hellsconsort You should check the recent hostile banner headlines about India in British newspapers because India mocked your aid peanut. For years now, the British press insulted India to their hearts content over aid. What they did not know was that your politicians had secretly pleaded with India to accept aid.
Why do you suppose your politicians did that? Because they knew you Brits feel lost without imperial pride.
@Mrparrot73 That's your interpretation of it. It don't make much sense to me but you are entitled to your opinion.
I've read newspapers about aid the past few months, personally I think it should be stopped, as do most people I speak to, so that blows your imperial pride theory away. India has the most billionaires in the world.
You have to understand also, politicians here often act without public consent and do not represent the views of the working man, even labour which was-
@Mrparrot73 -traditionally for the working man, shit on its own UK people with forced multiculturalism, jobs going to cheap foreign workforce, money going to other countries when there is a recession, 'human rights' blunders (criminals being awarded £ payouts, allowed to stay etc due to legal farce, blunders), multi faith schools (I can't think of a better way to corrupt young minds and segregate people). Then you have competing leftist (Mirror), and right (Sun) papers.
@Mrparrot73 Anyway...if you judge every Brit or Indian from what one body, institution or person pushing their own agenda says, or purely look for the negative then you've lost the plot to finding a real or overall representation in the first place.
@Mrparrot73 Don't criticize my country for what the leaders said and done. If I recall correctly Britain stopped Japan from occupying India. The Japanese occupation would've been far, far worse than the British imperialism. Regardless, imperialism of any type is wrong.
@theexpliotedforlife From what I remember, the British occupied India and used 2.3 million Indians in their war.
In the whole world, only the British would be shameless enuf to actually demand credit for their crimes. If a man takes a 3 year old child, locks her in his basement and rapes her every day for 15 years, can he claim credit because he also fed her for 15 years? I suppose, in Britain, most people will say yes.
@Retro327 Such is the hypocrisy that when Cameron comes to New Delhi "in a spirit of humility" and REQUESTS us for a "special relationship", he has the gall to say that Indians have to pragmatic and put the past behind and forget the kohinoor diamond. You knock on our door and tell us to be pragmatic and see things your way!!! Awesome! What a strange way of making requests! When you make a request, you dont get to set terms. But Britain cannot forget it's imperial pride. LOL!
@Mrparrot73 the difference between Britain or America is they try to dominate the rest of the world and preserve their own, which again is a failure, but India is parasite from within sucking the blood of its own people in the name of democracy, Britain will keep celebrating until the end of the earth, coz their forefathers have looted so much and stacked in their treasury, and dont tell me they are appreciating us, it need appreciation of its own people like me within the system and not outside
@joyedwards100 You are buying evil BBC propaganda. As admitted by the Economist itself, India has better elections, more civil rights etc than the lecture givers from Europe. Show me one "poor" nation that built a full democracy, a massive military, nuclear weapons, huge economy and space programme except for India. In fact, the British vampires cut out space programme in order to save the loot, but still the Euro bastards are perishing. The Brits cannot stomach India's rise.
@Mrparrot73 Oh no, I have nothing to do with the BBC or Britain dude, but I can tell you one thing When we rise, Brits will be the first people to appreciate us, but what Im worried is one day we will all be under the "New World Order" this is where we are heading for, probably you should watch those videos on Illuminati and stuff. Why is Sonia here, to bring us under the law of Pope one day, they have worked for generations to achieve this, this is where we need to take care of our country.
@Mrparrot73 We boast of so many things about our country and talk patriotism, sing Made In India, but remember after independence we are still following the same Roman system of government that British left for us, just like any other western nation, sad that our brilliance has achieved many things but we are still standing of the foundation that the British layed with the Roman system thats why there are so many poor hungry starving people in our country because thats the way Roman system works
@Mrparrot73 Many people have plans to change everything including the foundations of our country but they all failed miserably, eg Bose, Ambedhkar, Periyar, they all were only silenced in different ways because they dont want real change, they want us to continue under the same Roman System so whatever you achieve or how much ever high you rise, one day you will be under them, thats the whole plan, not just the citizens of India, the same with Brits, Americans, all are under this trap.
@Mrparrot73 Check out this video on youtube and you will be shocked to know, we have been making a big noise for nothing "Netaji Subhash Bose - Hidden Truth" We need more maturity in our thinking, people are people everywhere, whether American or British, of course some are proud and consider themselves above us, but remember even they are doomed under this mysterious system of "involuntary servitude" this is the official name for slavery in the documents of the American government, pls check
@joyedwards100 Instead of boiling over what the Brits did to our forefathers we need to see the future, see how we can segregate from the western nations, we need to find our own system of government where all can live equally and financially reward the hard laborer instead of depriving them and paying ransom salaries to those lazily doing white collar jobs, supervisors and master like designations who are doing a job but not like the hard laborer who is the real revenue generator of our nation.
@wanfight India is secular because of Hinduism. You can call them Hindu or secular, both carry the same meaning. Other ideologies don't consider others as true, hence their problem. Hence those ideologies cannot be called secular.
@meronmotors Its not about who the British love any more. "Great" Britain is going down. The question that BBC was asking last year on Indian streets was : Do Indians like Britain?
@Rico8458 By the way India is a secular country , you cant call em hindus. Its like calling UK and France - christian nations (which is not a fact legally speaking rather they are Secular)
@wanfight India is secular because of Hinduism. You can call them Hindu or secular, both carry the same meaning. Other ideologies don't consider others as true, hence their problem. Hence those ideologies cannot be called secular.

@Mrparrot73
I've never sang god save the queen in my life.
Got no time for nationalism.

The three biggest curses put upon mankind
1) Religion
2) Nationalism
3) Greed
Eliminate them and the world would be a perfect place.

Mrparrot73 3 months ago
@Mrparrot73 No need - I am sure you will celebrate it anyway.
freebeerfordworkers 2 months ago
@Talbot6832 Also, thank you Britain for your anti-apartheid stance. I think Thatcher sent the Royal Navy to South Africa to intervene and end apartheid. When the whole Western world decided to cooperate with apartheid South Africa, Thatcher boldly stood up and boycotted SA.
O wait... I am a little confused. Is it possible I said that backwards??
Mrparrot73 3 months ago
@Mrparrot73 You're living in the past. It's easy to argue your country did this (negative), my country did this (positive). The important thing is to remember and learn from mistreatments and crimes and educate our children to be human beings.
Hellsconsort 1 month ago
@Hellsconsort You should check the recent hostile banner headlines about India in British newspapers because India mocked your aid peanut. For years now, the British press insulted India to their hearts content over aid. What they did not know was that your politicians had secretly pleaded with India to accept aid.
Why do you suppose your politicians did that? Because they knew you Brits feel lost without imperial pride.
Its fairly clear who lives in the past.
Mrparrot73 2 weeks ago
@Mrparrot73 That's your interpretation of it. It don't make much sense to me but you are entitled to your opinion.
I've read newspapers about aid the past few months, personally I think it should be stopped, as do most people I speak to, so that blows your imperial pride theory away. India has the most billionaires in the world.
You have to understand also, politicians here often act without public consent and do not represent the views of the working man, even labour which was-
Hellsconsort 2 weeks ago
@Mrparrot73 -traditionally for the working man, shit on its own UK people with forced multiculturalism, jobs going to cheap foreign workforce, money going to other countries when there is a recession, 'human rights' blunders (criminals being awarded £ payouts, allowed to stay etc due to legal farce, blunders), multi faith schools (I can't think of a better way to corrupt young minds and segregate people). Then you have competing leftist (Mirror), and right (Sun) papers.
Hellsconsort 2 weeks ago
@Mrparrot73 Anyway...if you judge every Brit or Indian from what one body, institution or person pushing their own agenda says, or purely look for the negative then you've lost the plot to finding a real or overall representation in the first place.
Hellsconsort 2 weeks ago
@Mrparrot73 Thatcher was a bitch cunt, whats your point?
MitchofSmeg 1 month ago
@Mrparrot73 Don't criticize my country for what the leaders said and done. If I recall correctly Britain stopped Japan from occupying India. The Japanese occupation would've been far, far worse than the British imperialism. Regardless, imperialism of any type is wrong.
theexpliotedforlife 2 weeks ago
@theexpliotedforlife From what I remember, the British occupied India and used 2.3 million Indians in their war.
In the whole world, only the British would be shameless enuf to actually demand credit for their crimes. If a man takes a 3 year old child, locks her in his basement and rapes her every day for 15 years, can he claim credit because he also fed her for 15 years? I suppose, in Britain, most people will say yes.
Mrparrot73 2 weeks ago
@Retro327 Such is the hypocrisy that when Cameron comes to New Delhi "in a spirit of humility" and REQUESTS us for a "special relationship", he has the gall to say that Indians have to pragmatic and put the past behind and forget the kohinoor diamond. You knock on our door and tell us to be pragmatic and see things your way!!! Awesome! What a strange way of making requests! When you make a request, you dont get to set terms. But Britain cannot forget it's imperial pride. LOL!
Mrparrot73 7 months ago
@Mrparrot73 the difference between Britain or America is they try to dominate the rest of the world and preserve their own, which again is a failure, but India is parasite from within sucking the blood of its own people in the name of democracy, Britain will keep celebrating until the end of the earth, coz their forefathers have looted so much and stacked in their treasury, and dont tell me they are appreciating us, it need appreciation of its own people like me within the system and not outside
joyedwards100 7 months ago
@joyedwards100 You are buying evil BBC propaganda. As admitted by the Economist itself, India has better elections, more civil rights etc than the lecture givers from Europe. Show me one "poor" nation that built a full democracy, a massive military, nuclear weapons, huge economy and space programme except for India. In fact, the British vampires cut out space programme in order to save the loot, but still the Euro bastards are perishing. The Brits cannot stomach India's rise.
Mrparrot73 7 months ago
@Mrparrot73 Oh no, I have nothing to do with the BBC or Britain dude, but I can tell you one thing When we rise, Brits will be the first people to appreciate us, but what Im worried is one day we will all be under the "New World Order" this is where we are heading for, probably you should watch those videos on Illuminati and stuff. Why is Sonia here, to bring us under the law of Pope one day, they have worked for generations to achieve this, this is where we need to take care of our country.
joyedwards100 7 months ago
@Mrparrot73 We boast of so many things about our country and talk patriotism, sing Made In India, but remember after independence we are still following the same Roman system of government that British left for us, just like any other western nation, sad that our brilliance has achieved many things but we are still standing of the foundation that the British layed with the Roman system thats why there are so many poor hungry starving people in our country because thats the way Roman system works
joyedwards100 7 months ago
@Mrparrot73 Many people have plans to change everything including the foundations of our country but they all failed miserably, eg Bose, Ambedhkar, Periyar, they all were only silenced in different ways because they dont want real change, they want us to continue under the same Roman System so whatever you achieve or how much ever high you rise, one day you will be under them, thats the whole plan, not just the citizens of India, the same with Brits, Americans, all are under this trap.
joyedwards100 7 months ago
@Mrparrot73 Check out this video on youtube and you will be shocked to know, we have been making a big noise for nothing "Netaji Subhash Bose - Hidden Truth" We need more maturity in our thinking, people are people everywhere, whether American or British, of course some are proud and consider themselves above us, but remember even they are doomed under this mysterious system of "involuntary servitude" this is the official name for slavery in the documents of the American government, pls check
joyedwards100 7 months ago

The BBC makes some great historical documentries. This episode is just the tip of the iceberg...Part of the Timewatch series.
