i saw this video where these people poached alta, they were really good friends with a ski patroller and he brought there boards up in the snow cat for them. the guys just rented some crappy skiis and when they got to the top they just threw them off a huge cliff and boarded down

the reason alta has the rule of no snowboards is snowboards create super amounts of friction and thereby creating sheets of ice and gets rid of fresh powder and skiing is no fun on ice. I mean i myself am a snowboarder but nothing produces a more exciting natural high than ripping through fresh powder!!!

Excellent video, you guys were cool to everyone and they were cool back. Way better than the Burton power to the poachers vid. Those guys were just being assholes to everyone for the sake of it so of course they were gonna get attitude back. Actually Brett1037, and in our defense, Alta is not private property like Deer Valley or Taos. It's property of the National Forest so technically they can't do anything to us...not just cuz we were barely dressed. Alta is actually pretty friendly, snowboarders drop in all the time, they just can't let them on the lift =) No other poachers at Alta this year were harmed =D
