This game is a lot of fun with multiple players. You let each 'player' make a character and have them join the party, then pass the controller around when it's each person's turn and let them do whatever they want. It's hilarious! Man, I wish we decided to leave the bar instead of getting into that barroom brawl...
This is one of the few games that features Coup de grace. Hold person or sleep and you can instantly kill your enemies with one hit. Even bow and arrows
I've started this game over and over and over and over again...lol.....apparently either I suck or the game sucks one of the two...I'd wager on both....Think I'd rather call some friends and get a real game of AD&D goin...Nothin' like dice hitting the den table...It is a fun game to play but for the time I've given up trying...I'll be back one day pool of radiance....
No offense but it must be you who sucks. I've beaten this game several times (not the DOS versions though). I have a video walkthrough and a text guide on GameFaqs if you want help in getting through the game.
@Doommaster1994 Yeah it is me, I think if i like had a piece of graph paper and made my own map as i took each step it might be different for me because i end up getting lost even when taking the time to flip through the menus to get to the map (Its prolly 100X faster on DOS than NES cause you can click to do all that) I'll check out your videos man im still interested lol thank you take care...
In the pen-and-paper version of D&D, the Manual of (B)odily Health boosts the Constitution of the character using it by 1. Due to poor programming, however, that item does not boost Constitution at all and can only be sold at shops for 25,000 Gold Pieces.
This is for the NES. It was released for the PC, Amiga, Commodore 64, Macintosh, Apple II, and maybe a few other ports I don't know about. But I own the NES and PC version and I like the NES Version more. Its easier to play and use.
I'm working on this game right now. I DID defeat Norris, but after a while from reseting the game so many times from dying, the game confused my character with another guy in my party. But anyway, thanx for the memories. 5*
Anyone who wants this game should look up a nes emulator, you can play it on your computer and not worry about the consul fucking you every 3 min

This game rocks, but I could never find Tyranthraxus at the last dungeon, damn hedge maze.
Archedgar 3 years ago
There is an illusionary wall in the maze. I made a video on how to get through it.

Omg they turned my beloved Pool Of Radiance into a japanese-looking RPG. I love the C64 version, this looks alien to me.

to mrsparkle001:
uhh this version was made by japanese? :P
topkid1988 3 years ago
Well that explains why it looks nothing like the awesome version I posted.

Yeh, I completed the game, but when the council clerk asks you if you want to leave a CS, say no.
