And we were just there after Bill and during and after Danny, and it was full of surfers!!!And there were these three guys who were like 15-17 or so, and were better than some of the pros!The were from what sounded like racheal beach, or britchel beach or something?But they were good!One kid with like white hair, rode the wave from start to finish!Okay i wrote to much bye!

im just wondering does east cost only get swell after a hurricain or does it get ground swell to.

We definitely get storm system ground swell other than those generated by hurricanes. Unfortunately the Atlantic isn't as deep of an ocean as the Pacific and the swells don't carry as unencumbered and efficiently as those of the Pacific. Generally our best surf comes from a more localized system (within a thousand miles or so - as opposed to your southern hemisphere swells that are generated many thousands of miles away.) But we have clean, warm (half the year) water.
