I love Geoffrey Rush's character--he is timeless. He has zero social inhibition or compulsions to object to things, he just says, it'll work out somehow, and doesn't hesitate to put a female into a female role. He's all about 'whatever works!'

i watched this movie with my shakespeare group i absolutely LOVE this movie omg shakespeare can kiss me anytime he is so hot in this movie and i think the girl who plays juliet should have been in the orignal movie of romeo and juliet ... i also love this line " i don`t know its a myestry " i use this line in RL now xD every one looks at me like i`m crazy LOL

@kikiyoinuyasha Gwyneth Palrow. She beat out Meryl Streep and others to win best actress for this role. Shakespeare in Love also beat out Saving Private Ryan to win best picture that year.

This scene actually begins four minutes earlier, with the theatre-goers pouring out of the public/whore house, extending to QE's entering her carriage. Oh well, some is better than none. Still this airing of Stoppard's version of R&J is one that I would have paid money to see. Brilliant movie! Brilliant Theatre! Bravi! Bravissimi!
