But it isn't viewed the same way that belts are in other forms. probably mostly because it's not as well known so most people don't understand how the levels work. I don't know about the effectivity of KM's gun disarm techniques, but those "knife defenses" are plain suicide.
There's a reason for that, though. These techniques (I believe) have been taken directly from the military knife fighting system - they assume that you're wearing a uniform and tactical vest (making you much more slash resistant). Of course, in civilian environment, they make absolutely no sense.

Are there any videos of someone using Krav Maga against a resisting opponent? Has a single one of these gun disarm/reversal techniques ever actually been pulled off in real life? These techniques are unrealistic and I question their effectiveness.

I don't know about the effectivity of KM's gun disarm techniques, but those "knife defenses" are plain suicide.
There's a reason for that, though. These techniques (I believe) have been taken directly from the military knife fighting system - they assume that you're wearing a uniform and tactical vest (making you much more slash resistant). Of course, in civilian environment, they make absolutely no sense.

Are there any videos of someone using Krav Maga against a resisting opponent? Has a single one of these gun disarm/reversal techniques ever actually been pulled off in real life? These techniques are unrealistic and I question their effectiveness.

krav aint pretty but it sure is effective, i like it because its about survival and its either you or the attacker whos gonna walk away, if you are attacked you have the skills to fight back and you'll be the one walking away, i trust krav over any martial arts moves or techniques that feel hard to pull off, when i do krav it feels easy and instinctive and whats more, you focus on ending the fight asap and as a guy i know how much it hurts to get kicked in the balls let alone punched and elbowed
