The Israelis would thus be protecting their citizens from future attacks. I do not know if it is legal to keep a populace disarmed given their need to defend themselves from wide range of human rights abuses, but that seems to be the Israeli position.

But the last I checked Israel is the fourth most power military on the planet, and you don't need to blow the hell out of non-combatants in order to defend yourself. Many protesters were Jewish, so this is proof that not all Jewish people are of one opinion or view. Like I said a year ago. America wants to keep a hold on the Middle East and the Palestinians are very vulnerable. They do not have the support of subsidies from America... They do not have a army, they had land and homes. Now a high proportion of that has been taken by the settlers.
